Makeup Reviews

Hi beauties. ☼

As I type this post I’m sat on the train to Leeds to see my twin sister, Jess (beautifulbreakable), for my cousins hen party 🙂

I thought I’d share with you my makeup of the day. I can tell you now guys, I’m actually loving this look, its quite natural on the eyes with a bold lip! I’M OBSESSED!!
I hope you like this look as much as I do, so here’s how I achieved it…

I started off with a clean face. I had just cleansed my face with Liz Earle’s Cleanse & Polish. I then used the Simple Pore Minimising Toner & the Simple Light Moisturiser (click here to see my morning skincare routine).

For the face I used my L’Oréal True Match Foundation, I applied this with my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge in a stippling motion.

When I was happy with the desired coverage I went in with my Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer & Collection Concealer to erase those dark circles, I didnt have any other need for concealer as the foundation covers my redness/blemishes on its own!!

To lock all of that in place I used my trust Rimmel Stay Matte powder (if you have oily skin, this is your best friend!!) After all of that was set in place I used my Hoola Bronzer to warm up my face & make me look a bit more alive 🙂

Since I’m travelling I didn’t feel like wearing a ton of makeup on my eyes, so I kept it quite simple & natural. For this look I used the MUA Heaven & Earth Palette (if you’d like a review/swatches of this palette then let me know!). I only used 3 colours for this look, lighter shade all over the lid, mid-tone in the crease & darker shade in the outer ‘V’ & lash line to create more depth to the look!

No look would be complete wihout mascara, so I finished off the eyes by using my Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara 🙂

For the brows I didn’t bother filling them in, I just combed them through with my MUA clear mascara!!

The lipstick I used was the L’Oréal Caresse in Cheeky Magenta. This lipstick is quite sheer, but is buildable. I just make sure I’ve cancelled out the colour of my lips with a bit of concealer or foundation to get an intense bold lip!

I hope you all like my MOTD 😀 Comment below what makeup look your loving at the minute! xo
