Blue Halo 🖤

Hi my lovelies,

I never thought I was going to say this, I’ve done a blue eye look! BLUE!! I literally never use blue, because I have green eyes I feel blue shadow doesn’t suit me. But I’m actually loving it.

If you’ve read my blog for a while you’ll know I do a makeup course, I will soon be a fully qualified MUA😍 Anyway, in our kit we got this colourful palette by Lick & Lash Beauty (an Instagram brand I believe) so I thought I would give it a go!

I literally only used a couple of shadows for this look (silly me, I forgot to take step by step photos) If you’d like a pictorial type post for this let me know, I’ll definitely do that for future looks 😘

Anyway I blended the light shade (1) all through my crease & basically to my brow, I kept this in a halo as I want the shape to be more rounded. I then defined the inner and outer edges of the halo eye using the darker blue shade (2) here it looks very purple but in real life it is definitely blue.

To bring the eye look together & break up the blue a bit I used concealer to carve out the middle of my eyelid & then placed the shade solar on top to add a pop of colour & sparkle. This shade is from the Revolution Forever flawless constellation palette, which I’m actually in love with!

I actually really like this look. Definitely out of my comfort zone but I’m living for it. what do you think of this blue look?🙂

Self Care Sunday

Self Care Sunday 🖤

Hi my lovelies,

Who agrees, Sunday’s are for self care & relaxation? 🙌 I’m making sure that each Sunday evening I give myself a little pamper ready for the week ahead. Just doing these little steps makes me feel so much better about myself!

No pamper session would be complete without a good face mask. This one is actually a face mask duo from Superdrug, you get a clay mask to detoxify & cleanse the t-zone & a moisture mask to hydrate & smooth the rest of the face, I concentrated this on the cheeks & neck. Yes guys & gals, make sure you’re giving your neck the same pamper. It’s one of the earliest giveaway signs of us aging so we want to look after our skin on the neck!🙂

Can I just tell you, for £1.79 this mask duo made my skin feel A-MA-ZING!!!! Even before moisturising, my face felt so hydrated yet not oily & deep cleansed in the centre!! I’ll definitely be repurchasing this baby 😍

Whilst in the shower I did use my Soap & Glory Peaches & Clean cleanser that I’ve been loving for the longest time.

I then toned with Lush Eau Roma Water (rose water basically) which I love as it has helped my dry skin become less dry, if you’ve read my blog a while you’ll know I used to have oily skin, it then went dry whilst pregnant and now I would say it’s a bit of a combination.

To finish of the skincare on my face I uses my Avant Face & Eye Night Cream (got this in glossy box a few months ago) it’s the bomb! It makes my face feel REBORN! But it is very expensive, although if I had the money to repurchase the full size I definitely would, so I highly recommend it if you have a high budget and are looking for an amazing night cream🙂

I’m usually super lazy with exfoliating my body, but tonight I did just that & I can confirm my skin feels fricking brilliant. Why don’t I do this more?😂 **where are my lazy body exfoliators? give me a 🖤 in the comments**

Both my body wash & exfoliator are The Body Shop frosted berries scent, it smells divine. Not sure if it’s was just a Christmas special though!

To moisturise my new baby skin I used the Soaper Duper Body butter. I got this in a glossybox, before that I’d never heard of this brand but it’s lovely. Super fresh smelling & has no nasties in the formula, what more could we want 😍

I then painted my toe nails with this gorgeous colour, it’s the shade ‘status ready’🙂 I’m not going to post a picture of my toes, I have a weird thing about feet!😂

I’m going to be doing more of these every Sunday but different topics of course. Everything to do with self care & self love 🖤

Have you tried any of these products? what were your thoughts 🙂

Lash Love 🖤

Hi lovelies,

Just a quick one, this week has been crazy! Wednesday I qualified as a Classic Lash Extension Technician! I’m so excited to be expanding my business😍

Here’s my first go at classic lash extensions, didn’t quite get finished due to complications with my model but we got a beautiful, natural finish to the lashes.

Do or have you had lash extensions?

Personally I never have but I always love the look of them🖤

Revolution Forever Flawless Constellation Palette🖤

Hi lovelies,

I’m so excited to be sharing this review with you! When I posted my pink & blue look previously I said I would do swatches, finally they’re here!!! Let me know if you like reading reviews as I’m hoping to do more and actually stay consistent with my weekly posts (going to be posting Monday, Wednesday & Fridays) 🙂

Can I just say how GORGEOUS is the packaging for this palette? it is a tin as well so super sturdy & travel friendly as it feels like the shadows are well protected but the palette is still light weight which we all love!

The inside defintiely reflects the packaging & I think the colour selections are divine 😍 This palette attracted me as it’s totally different to anything I own, I don’t own many bles and reds so this was a winner. I absolutely adore all of these & I’ll definitely be doing loads more looks soon!

Which colours would you love to see me use?

Can we just appreciate these swatches, they are double swatched but I have only gone in to them lightly! Only running the shadow twice before swatching!🙂

I also love that although this palette looks super crazy & wild. You can actually get a neautral look from it, the shades retrograde, asteroid, celestial, harp & universal. I used these shades to achieve this super wearable look….

I used retrograde & universal in the crease for definition, blended out with asteroid & applied celestial all over the lid, inner corners & brow bone as a highlight shade.

Here’s the pink & blue look I’ve previously done…

Basically, for £10 this baby is a freaking steal. Absolutely love Revolution products, I’m yet to find something I don’t like!

Have any of you lovelies tried this palette? if so, what do you think of it?

Life update 🖤

Hi lovelies,

I realised I haven’t actually shared anything about my course that I have been doing for the last few months! I am currently studying Makeup Artistry Level 3.

So far I have completed my henna, camouflage makeup & body art assessments! I’ll put picture of all below, let me know what you think 🙂 I’m definitely proud of what I have achieved so far!

Both of these designs I did as my assessment pieces for henna. I really love how it came out & through this course I have found something else I love doing, I am carrying on with henna & making it part of my beauty business! EXCITING! 😁

I created this dream catcher as I’ve always loved them as tattoos. I actually did this on my fiances foot, he really loved it! 🙂

My next assessment pieces were camouflage, we had to cover bruises, hyper & hypo pigmentation, scars & redness. I’m not going to put images as they aren’t that exciting but it was fun to learn this as a new skill, we also got a camouflage kit which will really help me for the future.

I have just finished my body art assessment pieces, the first we had to design a Mexican/sugar skull design. This was actually really fun! Here’s the design I came up with…

The second assessment piece was a fantasy body art, for this we could literally do anything as long as it included the face, neck and limb!

I chose to do Raven VS. Mystique, since I don’t really have much experience with body painting, well non at all! I was SUPER pleased with the finished result! (I had only practiced this one other time beforehand!)

HANDS UP XMEN FANS 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️

I’m absolutely loving every second of this course, it’s been so fun to learn lots of new skills, meet new people & finally be doing something I actually REALLY LOVE!!

Next month I’m also doing a lash extensions course as well so that’s super exciting too!

Have you started any new hobbies or classes?? I’d love to hear about it!

The inside defintiely reflects the packaging & I think the colour selections are divine 😍 This palette attracted me as it’s totally different to anything I own, I don’t own many bles and reds so this was a winner. I absolutely adore all of these & I’ll definitely be doing loads more looks soon!

Rediscovering my old favourites❤

Hi lovelies,

I had the idea for this post the other day when I found myself reaching for my old favourite products. I used to use these products ALL THE TIME back in secondary (high) school. **I have repurchased since, don’t worry!I’m not using gone off makeup**

I challenge you to do this & tag me in the post. I love seeing what products people are or have been loving

Here I am in all my tired mummy glory! Let’s see what magic these products can do…

I decided I wouldn’t prime, not a fixed part of my routine, sometimes I feel primer makes my makeup look worse. Anyone else feel the same?

I started off by applying Revlon Colourstay Foundation the shade buff all over my skin using the Real Techniques Buffing Brush – this is also an old fave, I’ve legit had the brush since I was in high school! they last so well. I absolutely loved how this covered, I actually have the oily/combination version, my skin until having my son was always really oily but now it’s more combination verging on dry. However, this foundation still performs amazing as they do have a dry skin formulation of this foundation. For high street foundation its amazing that they have such a great selection depending on your skin type and colour!

For concealer I used the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Extra Fair. This concealer does the job. It hides and imperfections!! I adore this. It’s also amazing for touch ups throughout the day even on top of powder.

To set it all in place I used a very beaten up looking Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent to set the base. I always forget how much I love this powder!

Look at that coverage 😍 I love it. So simple yet beautiful! This is definitely more full coverage than I go on a normal day, but I love this when I’m going out anywhere. Especially when I know it’ll last.

THROWBACK much. Who else used to absolutely swear by the Sleek highlight palette? I know I did. Now I’m definitely obsessed again, LOOK AT THAT GLOW. So so pretty. I love that the coloured ones are just subtle & gives dimension to the cheek bones, not an obvious coloured highlight.

I usually use a mixture of all the powder highlights, look how stunning that looks. You can use it so it’s subtle or build it up to be a blinding highlight like I did 🙂

Hoola Bronzer by Benefit is a firm favourite, since using this year’s and years ago I haven’t stopped using it. I love Hoola for contouring as it’s the perfect colour for my pale skin, so pretty.

I did do it a bit more harsh than usual so it would be more obvious, it blends so easy & gives me a healthier more defined look.

Comment your old favourites or products you’ve used for a long time! I love trying new products ❤
