Rediscovering my old favourites❤

Hi lovelies,

I had the idea for this post the other day when I found myself reaching for my old favourite products. I used to use these products ALL THE TIME back in secondary (high) school. **I have repurchased since, don’t worry!I’m not using gone off makeup**

I challenge you to do this & tag me in the post. I love seeing what products people are or have been loving

Here I am in all my tired mummy glory! Let’s see what magic these products can do…

I decided I wouldn’t prime, not a fixed part of my routine, sometimes I feel primer makes my makeup look worse. Anyone else feel the same?

I started off by applying Revlon Colourstay Foundation the shade buff all over my skin using the Real Techniques Buffing Brush – this is also an old fave, I’ve legit had the brush since I was in high school! they last so well. I absolutely loved how this covered, I actually have the oily/combination version, my skin until having my son was always really oily but now it’s more combination verging on dry. However, this foundation still performs amazing as they do have a dry skin formulation of this foundation. For high street foundation its amazing that they have such a great selection depending on your skin type and colour!

For concealer I used the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Extra Fair. This concealer does the job. It hides and imperfections!! I adore this. It’s also amazing for touch ups throughout the day even on top of powder.

To set it all in place I used a very beaten up looking Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent to set the base. I always forget how much I love this powder!

Look at that coverage 😍 I love it. So simple yet beautiful! This is definitely more full coverage than I go on a normal day, but I love this when I’m going out anywhere. Especially when I know it’ll last.

THROWBACK much. Who else used to absolutely swear by the Sleek highlight palette? I know I did. Now I’m definitely obsessed again, LOOK AT THAT GLOW. So so pretty. I love that the coloured ones are just subtle & gives dimension to the cheek bones, not an obvious coloured highlight.

I usually use a mixture of all the powder highlights, look how stunning that looks. You can use it so it’s subtle or build it up to be a blinding highlight like I did 🙂

Hoola Bronzer by Benefit is a firm favourite, since using this year’s and years ago I haven’t stopped using it. I love Hoola for contouring as it’s the perfect colour for my pale skin, so pretty.

I did do it a bit more harsh than usual so it would be more obvious, it blends so easy & gives me a healthier more defined look.

Comment your old favourites or products you’ve used for a long time! I love trying new products ❤

Black Smokey Eye ft. red hair🖤

Hi lovelies,

Sorry I’ve been a little quiet, life has been CRAZY!!!! As you know I have a little boy, he’s now 9 months!! whaaaat. For anyone that follows me it only seems like 5 minutes since I was posting my birth story! Recently, I started a makeup artistry course (if you’d like me to keep you all updated on it let me know!)🙂

Anyway, I kept meaning to post this.. if you would like a pictorial on how I did this look step by step then pop a comment below 🙂

I’m actually loving this look.. so simple and easy to do but really effective 😍

For a black Smokey eye I literally just pack on the black onto my eyelid, you want to make sure it’s nice & dark closest to the lash line. Then go in with a warm brown (I used my Hoola bronzer) in the crease & blend that in to the black so it fades softly from black to brown. You may have to keep building colours & going back and forth between each colour but once you get to the intensity you want it’s so worth it!

To make my inner corners pop I used my favourite glitter liner as it stays so so well & whacked a load of mascara on my lashes (of course!)😊

I know black can be really scary but it doesn’t have to be. Just be confident & ROCK IT!! 💜

I will make sure I bring you more posts. I always miss you guys when I’m quiet on here! I hope you’ve all been well?😘

Christmas Day Makeup Look ❤

Hi lovelies,

So as promised here’s my Christmas day makeup look listing the products I used. Quite a lot of you seemed to like it. If you’ve followed me a while you’ll know I love my purples & pinks, so this look definitely sums me up.

Products used

Face

Surprisingly I’m not actually wearing foundation. This base has definitely been my go to lately & I love how it makes my skin look. I just swear by a good & easy skincare routine (post coming soon).

♡ Younique Skin Perfecting Concealer in shade Scarlet – I love this stuff as it’s super nourishing, high coverage & lasts all day.

♡ Younique Pressed Powder Foundation in Organza- this powder foundation legit makes my skin look airbrushed, I love it! It’s such amazing coverage for a powder & sets any liquid you put underneath to help it last all day.

♡ Benefit Hoola Bronzer- I talk about this all the time, I love this stuff. It’s the perfect shade for my pale complexion, it gives me that perfect chiseled look without looking too dark! It’s also super easy to blend.

♡ Younique Powder Luminizer in Iridescent – If I’m wearing a glowy gorgeous highlight 99.9% of the time it’s this baby. I love how this makes me look glowy from within when the highlight hits the light but no cast is left on the skin, it legit livens my skin up. TOP TIP I use this on my eyes for those no makeup makeup days.

Eyes

A little first impressions for you. The Keilidh Urban Bible palette with So Su is FREAKING AMAZING. My sister got it as a gift but we both just couldn’t wait to try it so used it Christmas morning!

♡ I used the colour ‘unruly’ all over the eye lid, in the crease & winged it out for a elongated cat eye effect. This colour is gorgeous, it’s a burgundy but when blended out well it goes in to a pink so that’s what I did, blended a small amount so it was a burgundy pink blown out effect. I then concentrated this colour in the crease & outer edge to deepen up the look & add dimension.

♡ I then packed ‘mercy’ all over the lid, then a small amount of ‘myth’ right in the centre & blended that out with ‘mercy’ so it wasn’t so purple, I just wanted a bit more depth to the look.

♡ Younique Dip & Draw Glitter liner – for a gorgeous pop on the inner corner I went in with this glitter liner to add even more shimmer to the look. After all it is Christmas.

♡ Younique Epic Mascara- no look is complete without a good mascara!!

Brows

♡ Younique Brow palette- I literally just tidied up the tails of my brows where they are a bit more sparse as I recently had them done professionally.

Lips

♡ Younique Lip Liner in pompous & prudent- I used pompous on the outer edges & prudent on the middle of my lip for an ombre effect. I do wish I had put a gloss on top though.

I hope you enjoyed this. The pictures really don’t the palette the justice it deserves. The reflects aren’t picked up in the photos! It really is a gorgeous palette that is so user friendly, beginners or pro’s!

Becoming a mum; my journey, breastfeeding

My breastfeeding journey: 6 month update!❤

Hi lovelies,

Oh wow. Christmas is 4 days away🎄 CRAZY!!! Where has this year gone?🙊

I have been super busy & legit unable to sit down & write a post. Sad times. I was really getting back in to blogging. Anyway, since I’m able to sit down & write a post I thought I’d give you all our 6 month breastfeeding update! 🙂 My little man reached 6 months old 06.12.18 – where did those 6 months even go?😱

Not a lot has changed really. I’m still breastfeeding but we have introduced solids. We started introducing some solids just over 5 months! To be honest I did a small amount of research but all babies are different so just do what you feel is best, I just looked for advice on suitable foods for his age. Not only did we start solids but Rylie also got his first TWO TEETH. So amazing. We mainly started with veg, pureed then as he got the taste made them in to sticks so he could feed himself – this is baby led weaning! 🙂

Rylie is now 28 weeks. I do like to keep some sort of a routine with his food. For example, he usually had porridge or more recently scrambled egg. He then has whatever veg or suitable food we are having at dinner. I tend not to give him a lot of food later in the afternoon/evening as I don’t want to upset his stomach & want it all to be digested before bed. Even though Rylie has food during the day he has plenty of milk after any food & between food!

On an evening we have started to give him a bottle, to make sure he is having plenty before bed as he hasn’t been sleeping well. He still wakes every couple of hours in the night.. usually no longer than 3/4 hours! This hasn’t made much of a difference as he still wants milk frequently in the night.

If anyone has any tips on weaning I’d love to hear them!
