Blue Halo 🖤

Hi my lovelies,

I never thought I was going to say this, I’ve done a blue eye look! BLUE!! I literally never use blue, because I have green eyes I feel blue shadow doesn’t suit me. But I’m actually loving it.

If you’ve read my blog for a while you’ll know I do a makeup course, I will soon be a fully qualified MUA😍 Anyway, in our kit we got this colourful palette by Lick & Lash Beauty (an Instagram brand I believe) so I thought I would give it a go!

I literally only used a couple of shadows for this look (silly me, I forgot to take step by step photos) If you’d like a pictorial type post for this let me know, I’ll definitely do that for future looks 😘

Anyway I blended the light shade (1) all through my crease & basically to my brow, I kept this in a halo as I want the shape to be more rounded. I then defined the inner and outer edges of the halo eye using the darker blue shade (2) here it looks very purple but in real life it is definitely blue.

To bring the eye look together & break up the blue a bit I used concealer to carve out the middle of my eyelid & then placed the shade solar on top to add a pop of colour & sparkle. This shade is from the Revolution Forever flawless constellation palette, which I’m actually in love with!

I actually really like this look. Definitely out of my comfort zone but I’m living for it. what do you think of this blue look?🙂

Rediscovering my old favourites❤

Hi lovelies,

I had the idea for this post the other day when I found myself reaching for my old favourite products. I used to use these products ALL THE TIME back in secondary (high) school. **I have repurchased since, don’t worry!I’m not using gone off makeup**

I challenge you to do this & tag me in the post. I love seeing what products people are or have been loving

Here I am in all my tired mummy glory! Let’s see what magic these products can do…

I decided I wouldn’t prime, not a fixed part of my routine, sometimes I feel primer makes my makeup look worse. Anyone else feel the same?

I started off by applying Revlon Colourstay Foundation the shade buff all over my skin using the Real Techniques Buffing Brush – this is also an old fave, I’ve legit had the brush since I was in high school! they last so well. I absolutely loved how this covered, I actually have the oily/combination version, my skin until having my son was always really oily but now it’s more combination verging on dry. However, this foundation still performs amazing as they do have a dry skin formulation of this foundation. For high street foundation its amazing that they have such a great selection depending on your skin type and colour!

For concealer I used the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Extra Fair. This concealer does the job. It hides and imperfections!! I adore this. It’s also amazing for touch ups throughout the day even on top of powder.

To set it all in place I used a very beaten up looking Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent to set the base. I always forget how much I love this powder!

Look at that coverage 😍 I love it. So simple yet beautiful! This is definitely more full coverage than I go on a normal day, but I love this when I’m going out anywhere. Especially when I know it’ll last.

THROWBACK much. Who else used to absolutely swear by the Sleek highlight palette? I know I did. Now I’m definitely obsessed again, LOOK AT THAT GLOW. So so pretty. I love that the coloured ones are just subtle & gives dimension to the cheek bones, not an obvious coloured highlight.

I usually use a mixture of all the powder highlights, look how stunning that looks. You can use it so it’s subtle or build it up to be a blinding highlight like I did 🙂

Hoola Bronzer by Benefit is a firm favourite, since using this year’s and years ago I haven’t stopped using it. I love Hoola for contouring as it’s the perfect colour for my pale skin, so pretty.

I did do it a bit more harsh than usual so it would be more obvious, it blends so easy & gives me a healthier more defined look.

Comment your old favourites or products you’ve used for a long time! I love trying new products ❤

12 Days of Christmas Day 4 Christmas Tree, oh Christmas tree!❤

Hi lovelies😘

I saw this photo (below) on Google & was obsessed. I just knew I had to recreate it. It inspired me to do my own take on it as I’d never done it before I didn’t quite know how it was going to turn out!!

I did change it slightly as I took inspiration, I didn’t want to copy someone else’s work exactly. Below is my version of this Christmas Tree inspired look!

I love this green shade, shimmery green shade from Soph X Revolution Palette 🙂 I just love the extra bit of glam it gave this look!! It actually isn’t as hard as it looks! If I can do it, so can you! Used a green face paint as a base for the liner & packed the green shadow on top. I also used face paint for the different coloured bulbs!!

check out my tutorial on my FB page (Link below!)

I then of course had to tie it altogether with a dark red lip!! 🎄 Feeling so festive right now. Are you ready for Christmas?

12 days of Christmas Day 1-3❤

Hi lovelies,

oh gosh.. crazy!! ITS DECEMBER!❤

Who else loves this festive time of year? so much so I’m doing different looks each day.. here’s the first 3 days as it totally slipped my mind to post them here 🤔 haha!! my bad.

Day 1 – snow is falling

I decided to do an icy wintery look for my first. It was the first time doing a cut crease look with a wing.. really wish I had put winged liner on, but we live & learn!

Used the Addiction Palette 5 for the icy shimmer & ‘Fervent’ & ‘Agile’ single shadows from my custom palette!

Day 2 – Mulled wine shine

I absolutely adore these colours on my eyes so had to do it!! Used the Soph X Revolution Palette 😍 I have a review, click here to read.

Day 3 – green smokey eye

I have green eyes so NEVER use green on my eyes. After using this green, again from the Soph X Revolution Palette! can you tell I love this palette?🙂 I smoked it out using a couple of the light brown shades in the crease. I did put a pop of purple on the bottom lash line which I really thought made my green eyes really bright!!

What do you think of these looks?

Tribal makeup look!♡

Hi lovelies,

You may or may not know I have my own makeup business with Younique. We’ve all been having a bit of fun this last week & having a bit of team wars. Basically fun challenges.

This was one of them & I loved the finish look!!

I started by priming & evening out my skin tone with my favourite foundation.

I then used basic face paint I found at the supermarket for the coloured mask effect & just used a sponge to create an ombre effect!

I created markings using different sized brushes with the white face paint.

To finish off the look I added black winged liner, plenty of my favourite mascara & a pinky nude lip!

I hope you all like this look. Let me know what type of posts you like to read! I love hearing from you all!🙂

Mummy makeup ♡

Hi lovelies,

A lot of people ask me how I get time to do makeup… well the answer is I don’t really, I just choose things I know are easy & quick to apply & of course keep it minimal!

When I do want to do a different eye look or film it it takes me hours, or even a full day depending on how Rylie is, some days he just won’t let me put him down! But when you have a baby you do take that in to consideration, when I know I have to be ready for a certain time I make sure I leave plenty of time to get things done or get up that bit earlier to get myself ready before anyone else is up!

Most days when I do decide to wear makeup it is very simple & easy, us mum’s need something speedy & that’s just exactly what this mummy makeup is all about!!🙂 YAAAAY!!🙌

Before we begin with makeup, it’s always essential that you look after your skin. I’ve found that a simple but consistent skincare routine is best.

For my skincare I like to use a cream cleanser/wash as my skin is quite dry since having my little man. I find cream cleansers don’t leave my skin feeling tight & dry, I do still use a scrub once a week (still loving my Lush dark angels scrub) to get rid of any dead skin cells & prevent dry patches.

I then either spray or use a cotton pad to wipe over my face with the Lush Tea Tree Water, this is a good all rounder as I also loved this when my skin was oily. It helps to prevent breakouts as tea tree is naturally antiseptic & antibacterial. While also toning your skin, closing up your pores after cleansing to further help to prevent breakouts. I don’t feel this step is as necessary now my skin is drier but I love how it makes my skin feel.

Lastly I moisturise, it may seem excessive but I use 3. One is the simple daily moisturiser, I use this morning on its own as it acts as a lovely light base to makeup. On a night I mix it with the Superdrug Vitamin E Serum to add that bit of extra moisture in to the skin! I really do notice a difference when using this & have recommended it to so many people who now love it too.

Both morning & evening I have recently started to use this Monu Skin Eye Cool Gel. Why haven’t I used an eye gel or cream before? It seriously hydrates & as the name suggests cools the eyes for a less puffy appearance. Not only that but it also helps my makeup to sit better on my under eyes, even after one use I noticed less creasing under my eyes when applying concealer!

My favourite part!!🙂 Now I’m a mummy I’m always looking for ways I can make myself look & feel better but FAST!! I think I’ve found it.. combined with my simple skincare routine I love using these few products.

To conceal my under eye darkness I used a small amount of concealer, one shade lighter than my skin tone to highlight the area. I tapped this in with my finger; doing this helps blend the concealer seamlessly in to the skin using the warmth of your finger.

To set the concealer in place I used a small amount of translucent powder, this will make sure the concealer stays in place!🙂

Because my skin is clear I didn’t need to conceal other areas but if you do go ahead & conceal any blemishes. I did use the powder on my forehead to mattify it though so I didn’t look greasy!

To add extra glow & radiance to my skin I used a blush & highlight. I applied the blush to the apples of my cheeks & swept it back for a natural effect. To add that extra glow i swept my highlighter on top of my cheek bones, brow bone, above my brows, tip of nose & inner corners of my eyes 😍

⭐When I glow on the outside, I glow on the inside⭐

To neat up my brows I used my fave brow pencil, I concentrated the colour towards the end/tail of the brow to create definition to the arch! I then use the spoolie brush on the end to comb through my brows to make sure the product is blended in well, this gives a more natural appearance!!

Of course, no look can be without mascara!! Literally my fave product, it opens my eyes & makes me look more alive 👀

For my lips I just used a lip balm… this one was a clear one but I do sometimes go for a tinted one for a little pop of colour on my lips 💋

Have you got any tips for fast makeup?

What are your holy grail products?

Foundation First impression!♡

Hi lovelies ☺

Eeek, I’m so excited to share this first impressions review with you!! It is a strange but interesting one, something I got on a whim after seeing a YouTuber review it☺

The product I’m talking about is the ’16 Brand Foundation’. Your probably thinking, ugh never heard of it!! 😂 You probably won’t have, I hadn’t until I saw this review.. but as soon as I saw it in action I was hooked & just had to try it for myself ☺😍

How cute is the packaging though? I mean if your a sucker for pretty things; like me, you’ll be sure to love this!!😃

Although it is quite cute the jam jar appearance is slightly messy as it had a clear seal on the inside which is covered in foundation, once you get passed this though you can use the super cute spatula to spoon a small amount into the lid!!☺ when I mean small, I mean small….

Here’s how it looks when it has been applied using my Real Techniques Sponge..

And here’s how it looks using my Real Techinques buffing brush…

Out of both methods I’ve got to say it applied a lot better using the sponge due to the thick consistency & VERY high coverage☺ As you can tell by the pictures the results with the sponge are far better than that of the brush, which for me was a surprise!😮

This stuff is amazing.. although it was very high in coverage it was very lightweight feeling on the skin & did not break me out! 😃 HOORAAAAAAY!!!

Not only was this gorgeous alone, my collection concealer blended like a dream on top of it!😍 plus, I did not feel the need to set it as it set down on its own after a short while 🙂(my skin has been dry lately, if yours is oily you may want to consider powder!)

Here’s how the foundation looks with all my makeup on…

I adore how well it covers my blemishes & redness while still looking and feeling light on the skin☺

It even wore well… after 6 hours it looked basically the same as when it was applied!👏

The only down sides to this foundation is that there aren’t many shade choices, plus I bought mine on Amazon & it’s now not listed on there so I’m not sure where else it is stocked!!😮

Overall, I really enjoy this product & will probably reach for it again when I want a more full coverage look🙂

What do you guys think? Have you heard much about this brand!?🙂

How To: Wear an Orange Lip ❤

Hi beauties 🌞

Since summer is finally here I’ve been switching up my lippys. I’ve been loving a bright orange lip, I think they look especially nice on people with pale skin.

If you’d like to know how to pull off an orange lip, then keep reading…

♡ Make sure your base is flawless.
♡Conceal any imperfections.
♡ Contour/highlight as necessary!

♡ You can keep the eyes quite simple with a bit of crease definition or winged liner.
♡ Or like myself, tie in the lip colour with the eyes. I went for a peachy pink eye.
♡ Start with a light, brightening shade on the lids & define the crease as desired.

♡ Make sure those brows are tamed & shaped, after all they do frame the face!
♡ As always I used my Benefit Gimme Brow.

♡ To get the best results line your lips with an orange lip liner & fill them in using the lipstick.
♡ This ensures a precise application & perfect lip.
♡ However, if you don’t have an orange lip liner you can always use a lip brush to apply the product for a precise application.

Let me know if you like this sort of post!

P.S Stay tuned on my blog for my 500 followers giveaway 🙂

Lots of Love Natasha

Everyday Purple Smokey Eye ♥

Hi Beauties ☼

Recently I’ve been loving purple liner, yes, I’m being more adventurous with colour, hooray! 🙂 I have found having a subtle pop of purple on the eye really brings out my green eyes, which I LOVEEEE!!

How to get the look…

For the face I used my beloved Revlon Colourstay Foundation in Buff, I applied this using my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. This is my favourite way to apply this foundation as it looks most natural & pretty flawless! To cover my under eye circles & any blemishes I used the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair (love this bad boy!!) To set those in place I used my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Translucent. Even though my skin is drier these days I still set my base so it stays all day! To add dimension back into the face I lightly contoured my face using my Benefit Hoola bronzer.

To achieve a subtle purple smokey eye I started off by lining my upper & lower lashline with the Gosh Velvet Touch Eyeliner in Funky Violet. This is such a beautiful colour & compliments green eyes really well! To add a bit of smokiness to the eye I pushed the colour ‘Regal’ from my Sleek Au Naturel Palette into the upper lashline. I then used a fluffy blending brush to smoke this out, theres no technique to this, just apply a line of the shadow on your upper lashes & smoke it out towards the crease of your eye. Most of the colour should be at the base!! To finish off the eyes I added lashings of mascara.wpid-20150508_125816.jpgwpid-20150511_212241.jpgBrows

As usual I just brushed through my brows with the fabulous Benefit Gimme Brow. I love how amazing this looks in my brows, it’s so natural & defining! 🙂

For the lips I used a new product, Bourjois Rouge Edition in the shade 18 Violine Strass. I absolutely love this colour, its a pretty berry shade with a shimmer through it (not very noticable on the lips!). I can see this being my new favourite!! 😀

I hope you all like this subtle purple smokey eye as much as I do.

Let me know what you think in the comments below…

p.s. I’m going to do a giveaway once I hit 500 followers on my blog. So stay tuned for that! – I’ll be giving away some of my fave products 🙂

Lots of Love Natasha
