How To: Wear an Orange Lip ❤

Hi beauties 🌞

Since summer is finally here I’ve been switching up my lippys. I’ve been loving a bright orange lip, I think they look especially nice on people with pale skin.

If you’d like to know how to pull off an orange lip, then keep reading…

image

Base
♡ Make sure your base is flawless.
♡Conceal any imperfections.
♡ Contour/highlight as necessary!

Eyes
♡ You can keep the eyes quite simple with a bit of crease definition or winged liner.
♡ Or like myself, tie in the lip colour with the eyes. I went for a peachy pink eye.
♡ Start with a light, brightening shade on the lids & define the crease as desired.

image

Brows
♡ Make sure those brows are tamed & shaped, after all they do frame the face!
♡ As always I used my Benefit Gimme Brow.

Lips
♡ To get the best results line your lips with an orange lip liner & fill them in using the lipstick.
♡ This ensures a precise application & perfect lip.
♡ However, if you don’t have an orange lip liner you can always use a lip brush to apply the product for a precise application.

Everyday Purple Smokey Eye ♥

Hi Beauties ☼

Recently I’ve been loving purple liner, yes, I’m being more adventurous with colour, hooray! 🙂 I have found having a subtle pop of purple on the eye really brings out my green eyes, which I LOVEEEE!!

wpid-20150508_125814.jpg

How to get the look…

Face

For the face I used my beloved Revlon Colourstay Foundation in Buff, I applied this using my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. This is my favourite way to apply this foundation as it looks most natural & pretty flawless! To cover my under eye circles & any blemishes I used the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair (love this bad boy!!) To set those in place I used my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Translucent. Even though my skin is drier these days I still set my base so it stays all day! To add dimension back into the face I lightly contoured my face using my Benefit Hoola bronzer.

Eyes

To achieve a subtle purple smokey eye I started off by lining my upper & lower lashline with the Gosh Velvet Touch Eyeliner in Funky Violet. This is such a beautiful colour & compliments green eyes really well! To add a bit of smokiness to the eye I pushed the colour ‘Regal’ from my Sleek Au Naturel Palette into the upper lashline. I then used a fluffy blending brush to smoke this out, theres no technique to this, just apply a line of the shadow on your upper lashes & smoke it out towards the crease of your eye. Most of the colour should be at the base!! To finish off the eyes I added lashings of mascara.wpid-20150508_125816.jpgwpid-20150511_212241.jpgBrows

As usual I just brushed through my brows with the fabulous Benefit Gimme Brow. I love how amazing this looks in my brows, it’s so natural & defining! 🙂

Lips

For the lips I used a new product, Bourjois Rouge Edition in the shade 18 Violine Strass. I absolutely love this colour, its a pretty berry shade with a shimmer through it (not very noticable on the lips!). I can see this being my new favourite!! 😀

I hope you all like this subtle purple smokey eye as much as I do.

Get Ready With Me: Coral Lips!❤

Hi beauties 🌞

I was getting ready for the pub quiz when it struck me, why don’t you make this a GRWM post. So here it is for you guys, how I got ready for tonight’s pub quiz!:)

Firstly I start off with a clean, moisturised face. I then started off by applying my Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer under my eyes before applying my Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation to my entire face! To set the face I used Makeup Forever HD Powder (yes, recent purchase! Review to come!)

image

Next I used a new purchase, makeup revolution palette (naked 3 dupe!!), I used the shimmery copper shade all over the lid & the taupe in the crease. I wanted to keep the eyes simple as I want the lips & skin to be the focus. As always, to finish the look, I applied Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl in Black to my waterline & tightline and applied my Kiko Volumising Mascara to the lashes (thumbs up for a review!!) 🙂

image

For the skin I contoured/bronzed my face with Benefit Hoola, yep this baby is still my fave!! To add colour to my face I applied my ever loved Sleek blush in Rose gold! OH HOW I LOVE YOU!!!! It adds such a gorgeous shimmer to the face, I can’t get enough 🙂

image

To define my brows a bit more I used Benefit Gimme Brow, this stuff is genius. If you haven’t tried it, you need to!!!  Lastly, to complete the look I applied my Sleek lipstick in Papaya Punch! Forgot how much I love this shade 😍❤

image

I hope you like this look, I really love how it turned out! What d’ya think?

Thank you so much for all the support. It means sooooo much!
Keep smiling & stay happy! ❤

My Go To Spring Face! ❤

Hi beauties 🌞

Recently I’ve been loving a more natural finish to my makeup, dewy healthy looking foundation that actually looks like skin! 🙂

To achieve this ‘no makeup, makeup’ look I firstly applied my Benefit Porefessional Primer. I then used my MeMeMe highlighter, which is a liquid consistency, to highlight my face. I then go in with my Revlon Colorstay foundation with my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge & blend this all over my face.

The highlighter gives a lovely glow to the foundation but because it has been applied under the foundation it looks natural. This has definitely been my favourite way to apply this foundation as using the sponge gives a very full, but natural coverage to the foundation.

image

To bring some life back to my face I added my well loved Benefit Hoola Bronzer to the contours of my cheeks, temples & jaw line! To add some colour to my cheeks I used my Sleek blush in Rose gold, this also adds a beautiful shimmer to the cheek bones. I’m OBSESSED with this blush at the moment! 😍

image

For my winged liner I used my L’Oréal Super Liner in Black, der! (P.s. I’m looking for a new liner, please leave suggestions in the comments!:))

For my brows I used my beloved Benefit Gimme Brow. For everyday I don’t have time to define them, so this adds definition & colour in one simple step!

Last but not least, the lips. I used an Astor lipstick, I don’t know what colour it is but it’s a pink with gold shimmers through it. I love it’s so moisturising 🙂

image

I hope you all like this makeup look. I’ve been loving the dewy Skin look recently,  especially since my skin has become more dry!

Let me know what you think! Do you like the dewy look? What’s your favourite part of this look? 🙂

My Go To Winter Makeup ♡

Hi beauties. ☼

I’ve recently been loving this makeup look for the winter. It’s a bit heavier than what I’d wear during the summer, but my skin takes more covering in winter!!

image

Here is the look I’ve been loving. Although I do switch up the products & maybe the lip colour, its usually the same sort of look. Smokey eyes with a bold (or nude) lip, it depends on what lip colour I’m feeling that day 🙂

image

For the eyes I used my beloved Sleek Makeup Au Natural Palette, which my fabulous twin bought me 🙂

For the cheeks I contoured with my truly loved, as you know, Benefit Hoola Bronzer. For my blush/highlight I used my MUA mosaic blush, there are a few shimmer shades in it so it gives a subtle blush & highlight!

For my lips I used two products which I LOVE. I layered Revlons Colorburst Lip Butter in Raspberry Pie underneath Essence Stay With Me Longlasting Lipgloss 🙂 I love this combination, the colour it makes is divine!

My Benefit Counter Experience!♡

Hi beauties. ☼

So a while ago I said I’d had a not so good experience with Benefit. For mine & my twins birthday (beautifulbreakable), a friend arranged for us to have our makeup done at a Benefit counter in Leeds.  However, this experience wasn’t the best.

There were only two girls on the counter & the girl doing the makeup didn’t seem bothered,  which to me was a concern from the beginning.

Jess, my sister, had her makeup done first & believe me, I nearly walked out when it was my turn. Both our makeup’s were simple & not well done at all. The foundation did not match at all, the girl slapped on products like no tomorrow. It felt horrid.

image

As you can see by the image above the colour clearly doesn’t match.

She applied a thick moisturiser, primer & foundation all at once without letting each product sink into the skin, hence the cake face!!! It felt like I had wet paint on my face, ew.

image

image

This was the finished result. I was fuming & we both ran to boots to get makeup wipes to remove it!

With any disappointment comes a high, at least we gave our friends a good laugh. Also, we bought Benefits Gimme Brow, I definitely don’t regret this, I love it 🙂

Despite this depressing post I haven’t been put off Benefit products. I’m just reluctant to ever get my makeup done at a counter again, I can do 100x better myself!  :p

FYI. Jess complained & we got a free sample of the they’re real liner, bright eyes kit & a coupon code for discount off the next purchase. So hats off to Benefit for keeping their customers on board with fab service! 😀

Have you ever had your makeup done professionally? If so, where?

Lots of Love Natasha
