10. L’Oreal Super Liner: Project 10 Pan!♥

Hi beauties. ☼

Firstly, I want to apologise for the lack of posts the past few days, life has just got on top of me & I’ve been sooo busy. I should be back to normal with my daily posts, if not there’ll be one every other day at least until I’ve sorted things out in my personal life! 🙂 But thank you all for sticking with me & supporting me! I love you all ❤

Anywhooo, on with the post. IT’S THE FINALE!! I’ve got for you my last project 10 pan review, where has time gone? It seems like only yesterday I began my project 10 pan challenge. Today I’m going to be reviewing my beloved L’Oreal Super Liner in Black Lacquer!

The L’Oreal Super Liner retails for £6.49, which to me is a steal, especially for L’Oreal as this is considered to be a more ‘high-end’ drugstore/high street product as it is usually a bit more pricey!

What L’Oreal claim:

L’Oréal Paris Superliner Precision Point is a liquid eyeliner in a special sponge tipped pen for the creation of fine lines or thick, sultry flicks. Colour is applied with precision and ease and dries without smudging.

wpid-20140613_193649.jpg

Do I agree with L’Oreals claims? Yes!This liquid eyeliner has a beautiful applicator, it really has made my life easier when it comes to applying liquid liner (as you all will know, it takes a LOT of practice!). The sponge tip applicator is hard, but not too hard, it just seems to work as it kind of soaks the product up so you don’t have to keep dipping into the tube. Making for easy & precise application whether you want a thick or thin line, flick or no flick! This eyeliner dries quite quick, but when it is dry it doesn’t move until you take it off!  – as disgusting as this is; I have left this on when I’ve slept & it’s still been intact in the morning! What more could you want for staying power?

wpid-20140613_193705.jpgThe picture above shows the beautiful precise sponge tip applicator! – This liner also has a little ball inside which helps to mix the product inside when it’s shaken! 🙂

So that’s it for my L’Oreal Super Liner review, there’s not much else I can think of saying! It’s a great product, which lasts all day & is super black! I give it a 5/5 as I know I’ll always go back to this product 😀

Well that’s it for my project 10 pan. I hope you’ve all enjoyed my posts! If you’ve missed any don’t forget to check them out – I have a drop down bar on my blog homepage which lets you search by category so just click on the project 10 pan category to view them all!

Thank you all so much for reading! 🙂 xo

9. Batiste Dry Shampoo: Project 10 Pan!♥

Hi beauties. ☼

It only feels like yesterday since I announced I was going to be taking part in ‘Project 10 Pan’, but I’ve already come to the penultimate product!

Todays review is of Batiste Dry Shampoo! I know there’s not a great deal you can say about a dry shampoo but I love it so much I just had to include it 🙂

Batiste Dry Shampoo comes in a ton of scents, they have recently done a collab with Pixie Lott too! I have the tropical scent, imagine being on a desert island & that’s exactly how it smells, its amazing 🙂

image

How does it work?

Batiste Dry Shampoo works to refresh your hair between washes, to use it you just spray it in your roots (always shake the bottle before use), I then like to work it into my roots with my fingers. I then wait 10-15 mins before brushing my hair so the product has time to soak the excess grease in the hair up!!

My thoughts…

I have tried quite a few dry shampoos over the years but have always come back to Batiste. It is by far the best, although some people complain that it leaves a white residue in the hair, which they have now come up with hair coloured dry shampoo (genius!!!!).

However, I don’t find it does leave a white residue. Yes I’m blonde, but I’ve got round it, shake the bottle well before use & spray further away from the hair & your good to go!! No more white marks!!

This product is also amazing for volume, sometimes when I’ve just washed my hair I’ll spray a bit in the roots for extra volume & texture! 🙂

Overall I would definitely recommend this dry shampoo to ANYONE!! It has always served me well, so I’m sure you’ll love it too 🙂

Have you tried any of the Batiste Dry Shampoos? What are your thoughts?

Lots of Love Natasha ❤

8. Benefit They’re Real: Project 10 Pan!♥

Hi beauties. ☼

It seems to have been a long time coming, but I have finally got round to writing a review on Benefit’s They’re Real Mascara, WOOHOO!! 😀

wpid-20140604_175329.jpgWhat Benefit claims:

They’re real! is the UK’s No.1 best-selling mascara!*
They’re real! lengthens, curls, volumizes, lifts & separates. Our jet black, long-wearing formula won’t smudge or dry out. A specially designed brush reveals lashes you never knew you had!
What else you need to know:
  • 94% saw dramatic length & volume**
  • 90% saw base-to-tip curl**
  • 94% saw visible lift* 100% saw long-wearing results**
  • 100% saw long-wearing results**

Do I agree with Benefits claims? YES I do!! As you all know, I looooove this mascara! It has an amazing plastic wand with little spikes on the end that work to coat every single lash, even the little ones on the inner corners! The formula is also VERY black & although it isn’t a super wet formula it isn’t dry either. It sets quickly & when it’s set it stays all day with no fall down or transfer!

Application

I like to coat all the lashes with the mascara, making sure I coat even the small lashes in the inner corner, I then focus on the outer lashes to create a ‘doll-eyed’ effect! This also helps to get more of a cat-eye look which opens up my eyes, making my lashes seem longer & of course this mascara also makes your lashes look fuller!

What They’re Real looks like on

There isn’t really much you can say about a mascara, it does what it claims & I can honestly say it’s the best mascara I’ve ever tried, & as a mascara junkie I’ve tried a fair few. So I’ll let the product speak for itself;

Before – nothing on lashes.

wpid-20140530_133152.jpg

After – wearing Benefit They’re Real

wpid-20140604_175038.jpg

So after two coats of Benefit They’re Real my lashes are made to look fuller & longer, even better, I know it’ll last ’til I take it off. I’ve even had a few people ask me if I’m wearing false lashes when I’ve got this on, which obviously shows how brilliant this mascara is!! 🙂

Have you tried this mascara? What do you think of it?

I hope you have found this review helpful. If you’ve got any more questions about the mascara please feel free to comment below! xo

7. Effaclar Duo: Project 10 Pan!♥

Hi beauties. ☼

This product has been highly raved about in the beauty community. Although there are probably thousands of reviews about this product on YouTube, I haven’t seen many posts about it here in the blogosphere. So here we have it, as part of my project 10 pan, I have for you a review on the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo (now named effaclar duo+).

La Roche-Posay is a french brand that has become popular in the beauty community over the past year or so. It’s most famous product is this, the Effaclar Duo! It is a corrective/unclogging, anti-imperfection care, the formula is more like a serum than a moisturiser (see image below). This product has been highly have raved about for the simple fact; it actually does what it says on the bottle.

wpid-20140528_171449.jpg

What La Roche-Posay claim:

Possibly the last anti-blemish cream you will ever try, La Roche-Posay are so confident that Effaclar Duo+ will give you clearer looking skin, that they’ll give your money back if it doesn’t.

La Roche-Posay’s ‘money back guarantee’ definitely does instill the hype that this is a brilliant product & guess what? IT IS! When I purchased this the hype was no-where near as big as it is now, so I didn’t know what to expect. But I can confidently say I was pleasantly surprised & still am!

Effaclar Duo has definitely given me clearer looking skin. It has been specifically made to target oily/blemish prone skin, hallelujah!! La Roche-Posay claims that it is “clinically tested to correct the appearance of blemishes, unclog pores and refine skin texture.” , this little tube of magic really does do all of that & it is suitable for sensitive skin!! Obviously you have to use it regularly (can be used morning and/or night) to see a difference, after a week or so I started to notice differences. You may notice more of a change in your skin if you use it morning & night, but I only apply it on a night after my moisturiser!

wpid-20140528_171236.jpg

Application

How to use – apply to a freshly cleansed face (I also apply moisturiser underneath) like you would any other face product, I also like to massage it in to the jaw-line as I feel this works it into the skin best & helps to eliminate those annoying under-the-skin blemishes!

It applies onto the skin like any other moisturiser/serum, however, it does leave the face feeling quite tight. To combat this I like to apply my night moisturiser of choice (for an evening skincare routine click here) before applying the effaclar duo, I wait for my moisturiser to sink into my skin before applying this product. This hasn’t hindered the power of the effaclar duo, it seems to work exactly the same as when I didn’t use a moisturiser with it (my face just felt dry, haha!!).

Thank you all for reading number 7 of my project 10 pan reviews. I hope you’re enjoying these reviews & if you’d like to know more about this product then please comment below or contact me through any of my social media websites (links below). xo

5. L’Oreal True Match Foundation: Project 10 Pan!♥

Hi beauties. ☼

Finally, it’s time for the very anticipated review on the L’Oreal True Match Foundation. I have been using this foundation for a year or so now, even though this is probably only my second bottle (yes, it really does last a long time!!). So it’s safe to say I’ll be able to give you an honest & well-tested opinion of this foundation. I hope you find this review interesting or at least helpful! Lets begin…

What L’Oreal claim:

The silky texture of True Match blends seamlessly with the skin. It automatically adjusts to the texture of the skin to create a flawless finish. Oil-free and non-comedogenic.

wpid-20140513_173502.jpg

Do I agree with L’Oreal’s claim? Yes, I definitely would agree. This foundation does have a silky texture as it is liquidy in consistency when pumped onto the back of the hand, I think this helps with the brilliant blendability as it does blend seamlessly & effortlessly into the skin!I don’t know whether it ‘adjusts’ to the skin, but the colour I use (N1) is a perfect match for me, so just make sure you choose the shade best for you! I agree that the foundation is oil-free & non-comedogenic (doesn’t cause blocked pores) as it lasts all day, with no need to touch up, even on my oily skin, it never feels cakey & doesn’t break me out 🙂

L’Oreal have created an amazing range of ’20 true to skin’ shades, these include warm, cool & neutral tones. How amazing are L’Oreal? For a high-street/drugstore brand it is a pleasant surprise, finally an affordable brand caters for ALL skin colours & tones 🙂

wpid-20140513_173510.jpg

Application

To apply this foundation I use my Real Techniques Buffing Brush (click here for review) or my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, iI find both of these to apply the foundation like a dream. I use a stippling motion (with the brush or sponge) to blend in the foundation as this gives the most flawless finish. If I’m using the buffing brush I will then use small circular motions to buff out the edges of my foundation around my hairline, under the chin & down the neck. This foundation, being a very lightweight consistency, is applied effortlessly & to be honest, you could probably apply it without a mirror & still look flawless!!

What I think of L’Oreal True Match

This product retails at £9.99, it is definitely a steal at this price. L’Oreal True Match is a FAB foundation, especially considering it’s from the high-street. It lasts amazingly on the skin, I don’t feel the need to powder throughout the day (even with oily skin), it doesn’t cake up; even if you build it up (it can be as sheer or as opaque as you want it to be), & it is super easy to work with!

This would be a great foundation for anyone, whether you are starting out with makeup or you’re more experienced with makeup, it really is that good!

To me, it is pretty fragrance free, I cannot detect a strong scent & I hate scented face makeup. Its an all round winner!!

Overall, I would definitely rate this product 5/5. It has everything I look for in a foundation; perfect shade, lasts all day & is natural looking. It is pretty much a universal foundation, whats not to love about that? 🙂

Have you tried this foundation? If yes, let me know what you think of it below, I always love to hear what my beauties think ❤

4. Gosh Velvet Touch Primer: Project 10 Pan!♥

Hi beauties. ☼

I’ve recently just finished & re-purchased this Gosh Velvet Touch Foundation Primer so I thought this would be perfect to include as part of my project 10 pan, especially as there doesn’t seem to be much about it online!!

What is a primer?

A primer is a product you use in between your skincare & your face makeup. It is designed to fill in large pores & smooth over imperfections on the skin in order to create a smooth base for makeup! Some primers also make your makeup last longer on the skin, it just depends what type of primer you’re looking for 🙂

What Gosh claim:

Gosh Velvet Touch Foundation Primer is a perfect base for all makeup. It fills in fine lines and deep pores in the skin, creating a uniform, matt and silky soft surface, enabling the easy and smooth application of foundation.

The primer can be used after daily moisturiser or on clean skin. The formula is perfume and preservative free.

wpid-20140507_165415.jpgGosh’s Velvet Touch Foundation Primer is (as you can see) a clear primer, it is silicone based (which most primers are) which is what makes the skin feel smooth and soft after applying the product and retails here in the UK for £7.99.

As Gosh claims this definitely does fill in fine lines & deep pores, as when I apply this I see no sign of any pores which I do have quite large ones around the nose/cheek area. I 100% agree with the statement that it creates a uniform, matt & silky soft surface as the silicone formula is what does this, however, like most silicone based primers if you rub this into your skin (e.g. like you would  a moisturiser) it is likely to ball up. Therefore, it is best to either lightly rub or pat this product into the skin & leave it to settle in for a few minutes 🙂

Application

To apply this primer I pump about a quarter of a pump (half a pea-size amount) onto the back of my hand, you really don’t need much of this as a little goes a long way. I then place a tiny amount on my forehead, nose, cheeks & chin – these are the places I find have more imperfections and pores – but just apply it to where you need it. After I have distributed the product I push it into the skin by pressing my finger over the area that needs it, this will push the product into the pore/smooth out any perfections to create a smooth base for makeup, I also find this method works the best!! 🙂

What I think of this primer

Despite the fact that I said this primer can ball up, it is still worth every penny & to be honest beauties I think this primer is a steal as it really does fill in those unwanted pores & smooth out imperfections. It creates the PERFECT base for any face makeup you wish to apply & even though it doesn’t claim to help keep your makeup on throughout the day, I definitely think it helps to do this!!

I cannot recommend this product enough as it is perfect for any skin (well, I have sensitive skin so if it works for me I’m sure it’ll work for you too!). Like Gosh claims it really is perfume free, which personally I love as I don’t necessarily like putting highly perfumed/scented products on my face as it makes me react to it, but this product is a winner all round with this.

No perfume, creates a flawless feel to the skin, helps keep makeup on all day & is very inexpensive!!! What more could we want?

wpid-20140507_165440.jpgWOO! This primer also has a pump & is one of those products where as you use it up something in the bottom rises (something to do with pressure) in order for you to be able to get the last drop of the product out! WIN WIN SITUATION!!

3. MaxFactor 3in1 Foundation: Project 10 Pan!♥

Hi beauties.

Sorry about my lack of posts this past week or so, but my twin sister has been home from university so I’ve been busy out & about with her (as well as work!).

Anyway, today I  have another Project 10 Pan Review for you. Todays product is MaxFactor’s All Day Flawless 3in1 Foundation. I have literally just used this foundation up & thought it’d be a perfect product to review since there doesn’t seem to be much about it in the beauty community.

image

What MaxFactor claim;

Face Finity All Day Flawless 3 in 1 foundation holds like a primer, corrects like a concealer with the long lasting finish of a liquid foundation with SPF 20.

  • Lasts all day, giving a flawless finish
  • Primer gives a smooth base for hold
  • Concealer corrects for a flawless look

Do I agree with these claims?

Yes, I would say I agreed with MaxFactor’s claims. The first claim that this foundation ‘holds like a primer’  is true as it does last a long time on the skin (even my combination/oily skin). However, the foundation does not act like a primer in the way that it fills in large pores, it will cover small pores but I did notice that if i didn’t put an additional pore primer underneath it did settle into larger pores (but what can we expect? nothing works a miracle!!).

MaxFactor’s second claim that this foundation ‘corrects like a concealer’ is 100% true, in my case anyway! Whilst using this foundation I found that I used less concealer, as when I chose to wear this foundation I would only conceal my undereyes. I found that this foundation covered up my redness/any discolouration I had on the skin perfectly (I don’t have bad acne or anything; just redness & scars from past blemishes!)

I would also agree with the third claim that this foundation is a ‘long lasting finish of a liquid foundation with SPF 20′, obviously we cannot, ourselves, test for SPF in a foundation but we just trust that it does. But the ‘flawless finish’ claim is definitely true in my opinion as this foundation NEVER cakes up, even when powdered & other face products are applied on-top. It doesn’t even look cakey if you have to touch it up during the day.

image

Application

My favourite way to apply this foundation is with either the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge or theReal Techniques Buffing Brush. To me the combination of this foundation with either of these application methods is a dream, the application of this foundation is so effortless. While it is a liquid, it isn’t so liquid-y that it drips all over the place, this is especially good for me as I like to do a pump & a half of this foundation (this amount is enough for my whole face) on the back of my hand. I then use either the Real Techniques sponge or brush to evenly distribute the product all over my face before using a stippling motion to blend the foundation into my skin.

What I Think of MaxFactor All Day Flawless 3in1 Foundation

Although when I first bought this foundation I had no idea what it was like, as at the time there wasn’t many reviews online or hype about it, I thought ‘what the heck’ and took the plunge in buying it! After the first use of this foundation I fell in love, it has amazing coverage, doesn’t look/feel cake-y on the skin, lasts all day, has SPF 20 (who doesn’t love the fact it’s protecting you?) and lets face it, has 3 products in 1. The only down side to this foundation (which most brands fall down at this hurdle) is the fact it only has 6 shades. MaxFactor you need to make more shades!!!

So for all of you that have been debating whether to buy this foundation or not, I suggest you go check it out. It really is a brilliant drugstore/highstreet foundation, which you can’t really go wrong with, I give it a rating of 5/5 😀

**I am now lead to believe that this is the same as the Covergirl foundation everyone hyped about, so for any of you in the U.S or anywhere else that sells Covergirl, this is the same as that foundation.**

I hope you all liked this post, if you have any other questions about this product please feel free to comment below 🙂

Also, if you’ve tried this foundation I’d love to know your thoughts! xo

Lots of Love, Natasha ♥
