LUSH: Golden Egg Bath Bomb ♥

Hi Beauties ☼

Thanks to my beautiful twin (beautifulbreakable), again, I recently tried the Lush Golden Egg Bath Bomb Melt. It is slightly different to a normal bath bomb in that it’s very moisturising as it is made up of cocoa butter and olive oil, while being dusted in gold glitter.

What Lush say about it…

This spectacular invention has combined a Bath Bomb and a Luxury Bath Melt to create (drumroll please…) the Bath Bomb Melt! Its creamy, moisturizing cocoa butter exterior encases a fizzy Bath Bomb center, and the whole egg is dusted in a delicate golden luster.

Here you can see it fizzing away…

I totally agree that this is a luxury bath bomb melt as it made my skin feel so amazing & soft. For the small price of £3.75 (I think, not sure as I didn’t buy it!!) I really believe it is worth it. The cocoa butter & olive oil leave the skin super soft while the scent leaves you relaxed & calm.

Here you can see how creamy & bubbly it is. It makes the water & your skin feel silky soft.

This bath bomb melt is a toffee/honey scent. If you’ve ever smelt the Honey I Washed The Kids soap you’ll know exactly how luscious it smells!

Overall, this is probably my favourite product I’ve tried. It is so luxurious, makes you smell lovely & even look lovely, as you gain a subtle shimmer to your skin! I don’t know whether you can still buy this in Lush, but if you get the chance to, then I suggest you pick it up!

Have you tried this golden egg bath bomb melt? If so, did you like it? 🙂

Makeup of the day

Makeup Of The Day!♥

Hi beauties. ☼

YES! Finally a makeup of the day, oh how I’ve missed these! *like this post to see more!!* 🙂

So, yesterday I decided to have a play around with my eyeshadows, well my beloved Sleek Au Naturel palette. The look I came up with was quite simple looking, but I LOVE it. I created matte eyes, with a flawless base & nude lips!

To be honest, I’ve been obsessed with matte eyeshadow over shimmers recently. It looks more subtle & wearable for everyday wear, especially as I wasn’t going anywhere fancy, just running some errands.

Right, enough babbling, lets get on with the look…

wpid-20150311_105957.jpg

I didn’t picture each step, it is that simple, there’s a few colours used but only with a light hand, as I wanted a subtle matte contour to the eye!

Firstly, I put a wash of the colour ‘nougat’ all over the lids, right upto the brow bone, this just gives an even colour to work on top; making blending so much easier!

I then went in with ‘toast’ in my crease as the transition shade. This just gives darker colours a transition, making blending (yes, you’ll see the key to this look is blending!!) effortless. I use windscreen wiper motions to blend the colour into my crease, I blend this colour to the point where my eyebrows start (shown below).

matteyes1

To deepen up the crease a bit I went in with a mix of ‘nubuck’ and ‘cappuccino’ over the top of ‘toast, I only used a small amount at a time & built up the intensity until I got to the desired effect. With this look (& most other eyeshadow work) blending is the absolute key, also building up colour is essential, as the end look will look far more seamless than if you try blend a ton of colour from the get go!

Once you’ve reached your desired intensity I like to go in with an even darker shade; just to give that extra definition to the very outer corners. To do this I used ‘regal’, this is my favourite shade in this palette, it makes my green eyes POP! I place a small amount right in the outer corner & blend it into the crease, but not all the way into the inner corners like the other colours, only about half way!

wpid-20150311_105948.jpg

To finish the look off I but ‘regal’ along the lower lashline & added a generous amount of my Kiko mascara (comment if you’d like to see a review!!) to my top & bottom lashes. This just defines the lashes & balances the bottom of the eyes with the top half.

My Benefit Counter Experience!♡

Hi beauties. ☼

So a while ago I said I’d had a not so good experience with Benefit. For mine & my twins birthday (beautifulbreakable), a friend arranged for us to have our makeup done at a Benefit counter in Leeds.  However, this experience wasn’t the best.

There were only two girls on the counter & the girl doing the makeup didn’t seem bothered,  which to me was a concern from the beginning.

Jess, my sister, had her makeup done first & believe me, I nearly walked out when it was my turn. Both our makeup’s were simple & not well done at all. The foundation did not match at all, the girl slapped on products like no tomorrow. It felt horrid.

image

As you can see by the image above the colour clearly doesn’t match.

She applied a thick moisturiser, primer & foundation all at once without letting each product sink into the skin, hence the cake face!!! It felt like I had wet paint on my face, ew.

This was the finished result. I was fuming & we both ran to boots to get makeup wipes to remove it!

With any disappointment comes a high, at least we gave our friends a good laugh. Also, we bought Benefits Gimme Brow, I definitely don’t regret this, I love it 🙂

Despite this depressing post I haven’t been put off Benefit products. I’m just reluctant to ever get my makeup done at a counter again, I can do 100x better myself!  :p

FYI. Jess complained & we got a free sample of the they’re real liner, bright eyes kit & a coupon code for discount off the next purchase. So hats off to Benefit for keeping their customers on board with fab service! 😀

Have you ever had your makeup done professionally? If so, where?

Lots of Love Natasha

Makeup Reviews

Sleek Luminaire highlighting concealer. No, just no!!

Hi beauties. ☼

So to explain my lack of posts, firstly I’ve been moving house and haven’t got wifi so I’m trying to save my mobile data. Secondly, I’m at work almost everyday & when I’m not I’m usually doing some other form of work! *Boo*

Anyway, today I’ve got a review for you, however, not a very good one 😦
I’ve been meaning to do this for a while,  but obviously haven’t got round to it! So here it is…

Brand: Sleek Makeup
Price: £6.49
Rating: 0

image

Here is what the product looks like,  yes it looks sleek & very efficient, but that’s where it stops! This has got to be the worst concealer I’ve ever tried. Yes I liked the concept of clicking the product up, so it’s not wasted. However with this product being,  well crap, it seemed pointless!!

I had such high hopes for this little guy,  as I’ve always loved sleek! Don’t get me wrong,  this hasn’t put me off the brand just wary of trying other base products.

image

As you can see from this swatch it looks very dry & well,  unflattering. As an illuminating product you expect it to just glide onto your skin. This does not.

It balls up underneath the eye, doesnt blends at all & worst of all is very drying! It accentuates any fine lines, which is not what we want our illuminators to be doing.

Like I said, I still love sleek as a brand,  just not this product. I’ll still but their eyeshadows & blushes,  they are fab!!!

This post,  well rant,  is just to warn you,  my beautifu readers, not to waste your money! 🙂

Have you tried any Sleek products?  If so,  what was it & what did you think?

Lots of Love Natasha

Hi beauties. ☼

I know I haven’t been very active recently, sorry about that, but I’m back with those highly anticipated holiday snaps you guys wanted to see 🙂

As you know I went on holiday to Kavos, Greece (Kavos is in Corfu btw!) with my twin sister (beautifulbreakable) & bestie at the beginning of August. I asked whether you’d want to see any snaps, so here are some of my faves…

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

On the way to Kavos, who else finds the airplane journey exciting?

Chilling by the pool, we were stunned by the beauty of the hotel & it’s pool. It was gorgeous 🙂

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

San Marina Hotel. We definitely chose the best hotel on the strip, it was about 2 mins away from the strip (clubs, bars, etc..)

Super Paint Party 2014. What an epic night. Got covered in paint while having the time of our life!!

20140807_194416

My hair & makuep for the paint party. Obviously didn’t stay looking like this, but we went out for a meal before going to the paint party.

What do you think of this look? I loved it ❤

20140812_153514

Foam party, had such an awesome night, cold but awesome 🙂 Pictured with two friends who we met on holiday!!

We also went on a booze cruise, but I didn’t take my phone or camera in case of losing them so I don’t have any pictures 😦

But on the booze cruise, we obvs drank a lot, had a good ol’ time & saw some amazing sights. We went to mainland Greece for a BBQ, had a rave in a cave with foam, jumped into the Blue Lagoon & sailed back playing party games & drinking some more 😉

We had such an amazing holiday, but all good things must come to an end. I hope to go back in a few years, but for now I think it’s time to save the dosh! (boringggg…)

Have you got any holidays planned? If so, where?

Thank you for reading beauties, have a fabulous day! ☼

Lots of Love Natasha ❤

Makeup of the day

MOTD: simple & easy!♥

Hi beauties. ☼

The other day I wore this makeup look. I really liked how it turned out so I thought I’d share it with you all 🙂

image

I decided to go for a simple eye with a thin-ish winged liner, shimmery shadow (champagne & purply-brown colours) & big lashes, of course!! I also used white liner on my waterline to brighten up my eyes 🙂

image

For the face I went for a flawless, but not overly made over, face! I then bronzed up my face to bring myself back to life! 🙂

image

I kept my lips a nudey pink, I’ve been loving a simple eye & lip recently 🙂

image

What makeup look have you been wearing a lot recently?

Thanks for reading beauties, have a fabulous day xo

Lots of Love Natasha ❤
