Collab: Taylor Swift ‘Bad Blood’ Inspired Makeup ❤

Hi beauties 🌞

I’ve collaborated with my beautiful twin beautifulbreakable on two different makeup looks from Taylor Swifts Bad Blood music video,  if you haven’t seen the video, you need to!!! 🙂 To see how Jess created her look below head over to her blog now!! ❤

image
Jess' Taylor Swift inspired look...

Anyway the look I chose to recreate was the one at the end where she’s sporting a ginger wig, bold winged liner & red lips…

image

If you’d like to know how I achieved this look, then keep reading..

Eyes

image

☆ I started off with the eyes to ensure no fallout ruined my face makeup.

☆ I used some sticky tape to create a sharp line;  position this just under your lower lashline as if it’s being extended!

☆ To achieve this eye look I only used shadows from the Sleek Au Natural Palette.

☆ I took the black shadow & marked out where I wanted the liner. Lining from the inner corner to the tip of the wing,  just carry on your lower lashline to create the wing, & stop at the tail of your brow! Also line the lower lashes.

image

☆ I then intensified & thickened the liner by going over it with more black shadow. You could use gel or liquid liner,  but I liked the look of shadow.

☆ Be sure to extend the liner into the inner corner too, to create even more of a feline eye!

image

☆ To add the sultry smokey look to this makeup I smoked out the outer corner of the eye with a dark brown shadow & the same black shadow used before!

☆ I also used the same dark brown to smoke out the lower lashline. Just keep smoking the sh** out of your eyes until your happy!

☆ I did apply black Kohl in my waterline and tightline after I did my base.

Face

image

☆ Once you’re happy with the eyes it’s time to perfect the skin! For my foundation I used my Revlon colourstay with my Real Techniques Buffing brush 🙂 but just use products you know work for you & suit your skin type.

☆ To hide any dark circles & imperfections I used my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. To set the face I used my trusty Rimmel Stay Matte powder 🙂

image

☆ To add some life into the face I applied my Benefit Hoola Bronzer as a contour & on my cheeks as a bronzer to warm up the face!

☆ Also to add some shape to the brows I filled in the tails with my ELF Brow Kit & set them with Benefit Gimme Brow.

image

☆ As the finishing touch I used my Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner in 24 red diva to line my lips. I then went over that with my Urban Decay Lipstick in ‘F-Bomb’.

Finished look…

Sleek Matte Me Lip Cream Review ❤

Hi beauties 🌞

Recently I’ve been getting back into bright bold lips. Here in the UK the weather has, slowly,  been brightening up & so my love for a bright lip begins all over again.

As you’ll know I love a red lip, especially a matte one & I’ve found the perfect lip product. The Sleek Matte Me Lip Cream in Rioja Red! 🙂

image

It retails for £4.99 & its worth every penny. It’s so pigmented you only need to apply this once to get full intensity of the colour in the tube!! It has a doe foot applicator, which actually makes it easy to apply, as it is a highly pigmented product there’s not much room for error.

image

As you apply this product it seems quite glossy, however, once applied, wait a few minutes & it dries down to a matte lip cream.

Once this lip cream has set it is bulletproof, literally!! I tried to rub it off my lips, no smudges. Nothing!! It also stains the lips so as you wear it you can’t really tell when it’s wearing off! To be honest, when I’ve wore this out, it has lasted most the day (including when I eat), without touching up! 🙂

image

For such an affordable product I cannot fault it. If your looking for a matte lippy be sure to check the Sleek Matte Me range, they have nudes & some purple colours too… click here to check the range out.

Have you tried this product?
What’s your fave matte lippy.. comment below! ❤

Skincare

Holly Go Lightly ❤

Hi beauties 🌞

Yes, I am aware it isn’t Christmas, but my twin (beautifulbreakable) gave this Lush bubble bar to me a week or so ago for me to try.

image

What is it?
Apart from looking super cute, Holly Go Lightly is a beautiful, festively spiced, sparkly bubble bar. You break a small amount off & crumble it under a running tap to, yes you guessed it, create bubbles!!! The colour of the bubble bar will also tint your bath water, personally this is one of my favourite things about them!!

image

Why use it?
This bubble bar (and others I’ve tried) smell absolutely divine. They leave my skin feeling nourished & silky soft! Which is obviously a bonus, especially if your like me, who seems to have super sensitive legs (which seem to be irritated by most things:?). Also, the scent of them linger on your skin, who doesn’t want to smell like Christmas? 🙂

I also love bubble bars as they last ages, you only need a small amount of the bar to create millions of bubbles. So you can happily have a few baths out of each bar! 👌

image

Have you tried any of Lushs bubble bars?
If so, which ones? 🙂

Makeup of the day

Makeup Of The Day!♥

Hi beauties. ☼

YES! Finally a makeup of the day, oh how I’ve missed these! *like this post to see more!!* 🙂

So, yesterday I decided to have a play around with my eyeshadows, well my beloved Sleek Au Naturel palette. The look I came up with was quite simple looking, but I LOVE it. I created matte eyes, with a flawless base & nude lips!

To be honest, I’ve been obsessed with matte eyeshadow over shimmers recently. It looks more subtle & wearable for everyday wear, especially as I wasn’t going anywhere fancy, just running some errands.

Right, enough babbling, lets get on with the look…

wpid-20150311_105957.jpg

I didn’t picture each step, it is that simple, there’s a few colours used but only with a light hand, as I wanted a subtle matte contour to the eye!

Firstly, I put a wash of the colour ‘nougat’ all over the lids, right upto the brow bone, this just gives an even colour to work on top; making blending so much easier!

I then went in with ‘toast’ in my crease as the transition shade. This just gives darker colours a transition, making blending (yes, you’ll see the key to this look is blending!!) effortless. I use windscreen wiper motions to blend the colour into my crease, I blend this colour to the point where my eyebrows start (shown below).

matteyes1

To deepen up the crease a bit I went in with a mix of ‘nubuck’ and ‘cappuccino’ over the top of ‘toast, I only used a small amount at a time & built up the intensity until I got to the desired effect. With this look (& most other eyeshadow work) blending is the absolute key, also building up colour is essential, as the end look will look far more seamless than if you try blend a ton of colour from the get go!

Once you’ve reached your desired intensity I like to go in with an even darker shade; just to give that extra definition to the very outer corners. To do this I used ‘regal’, this is my favourite shade in this palette, it makes my green eyes POP! I place a small amount right in the outer corner & blend it into the crease, but not all the way into the inner corners like the other colours, only about half way!

wpid-20150311_105948.jpg

To finish the look off I but ‘regal’ along the lower lashline & added a generous amount of my Kiko mascara (comment if you’d like to see a review!!) to my top & bottom lashes. This just defines the lashes & balances the bottom of the eyes with the top half.

Sleek Oh So Special Palette & Swatches!♥

Hi beauties. ☼ After purchasing my first Sleek Makeup eyeshadow palette I decided to create a swatches post so you can see what shades this palette includes. I also wanted to share with you my love of Sleek & I highly recommend you try the brand if you haven’t (especially their eyeshadows). However, there is one product I cannot get along with (more about this in an upcoming post!!) Anyway, here we go…

wpid-20141002_173632.jpg

Firstly, here’s the packaging for the palette, I love the idea of the loose eyeshadow design on the front, it looks fab! There are also tips on how to apply the eyeshadow on the back of the box. I think this is great, especially if you’re a beginner with makeup 🙂

The packaging for the actual palette is very ‘Sleek’, as the name would suggest. It is a soft plastic, which tends to cling to other makeup & get dirty, but hey-ho, it looks pretty!

wpid-20141002_173600.jpg

Here are the colours in the palette. As you can see there is quite a wide range of colours, which I love, it means I can get a shed load of looks just from this palette 🙂

In the first half of the palette we have pinky purple shades & the other half has more wearable browns & taupes to make the look more wearable or deepen it up for an evening look!

In this palette there are 5 shimmery shades & 7 matte shades. This is great as the darker crease shades are matte, I prefer this as matte shadows are better at giving definition to the eye. Also, the white colour is matte, I love using this as a subtle highlight!

If you’d like to see a look I created with this palette, then go to my previous sleek post here.

Here are the swatches of the top line of eyeshadows…

Hi beauties. ☼

I know I haven’t been very active recently, sorry about that, but I’m back with those highly anticipated holiday snaps you guys wanted to see 🙂

As you know I went on holiday to Kavos, Greece (Kavos is in Corfu btw!) with my twin sister (beautifulbreakable) & bestie at the beginning of August. I asked whether you’d want to see any snaps, so here are some of my faves…

On the way to Kavos, who else finds the airplane journey exciting?

Chilling by the pool, we were stunned by the beauty of the hotel & it’s pool. It was gorgeous 🙂

Super Paint Party 2014. What an epic night. Got covered in paint while having the time of our life!!

20140807_194416

My hair & makuep for the paint party. Obviously didn’t stay looking like this, but we went out for a meal before going to the paint party.

What do you think of this look? I loved it ❤

20140812_153514

Foam party, had such an awesome night, cold but awesome 🙂 Pictured with two friends who we met on holiday!!

We also went on a booze cruise, but I didn’t take my phone or camera in case of losing them so I don’t have any pictures 😦

But on the booze cruise, we obvs drank a lot, had a good ol’ time & saw some amazing sights. We went to mainland Greece for a BBQ, had a rave in a cave with foam, jumped into the Blue Lagoon & sailed back playing party games & drinking some more 😉

We had such an amazing holiday, but all good things must come to an end. I hope to go back in a few years, but for now I think it’s time to save the dosh! (boringggg…)

Have you got any holidays planned? If so, where?

Thank you for reading beauties, have a fabulous day! ☼

Lots of Love Natasha ❤
