Disney Series: Belle!♥

Hi beauties. ☼

So when I asked which Disney Princess you’d like to see, Ariel & Belle won. As I did an Ariel inspired look last time, it’s time for Belles inspired look 🙂

If you’d like to know how to create this Belle inspired look then keep reading…

Base

base

As always I started off with a freshly cleansed face. To prime my skin I used MACs Prep & Prime (review will be up soon!!). I then went on to apply my Revlon Colourstay Foundation with the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. To conceal my under eye circles I used a small amount of Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, I tapped this into the skin using my ring finger. This is the most delicate finger & the warmth from your finger helps the product melt into the skin better 🙂

Eyes

eyesFor the eyes I wanted to keep the look simple so I decided to just use this quad from Avon, it’s the True Colour Mocha Latte Quad! I used the light pink shade all over the lid, I then took the light brown shade in the crease as a transition shade. To deepen the outer corners I sketched in a  winged sort of look to the outer corner & blended inwards but not past the half way point on my lid. To make this look even smokier, I used the metallic brown shade in between the pink & dark brown colours, this is so the colours transition nicely from light to dark. As this is how you achieve a great smokey eye!!

To emphasise the lashline I used my Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl in Black along the upper & lower lashline & the tightline. I drew a very thin line on the top & smudged it out slightly to add to the smokey effect! I then did the same to the lower lashline & carried the liner up towards the brow to create a cat-eye effect to the look. To open the eyes I applied my Rimmel Kohl in White to the lower waterline.

This wouldn’t be a flirtatious Belle look without fluttery lashes, so to top the eye makeup off I used Benefits They’re Real Mascara!

Brows, cheeks & lips

browcheeklipBrows

To start off with I combed through my brows with the Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Mascara (medium deep), this gives quite a bit of definition so you could stop here. But to ensure my brows where nice & precise I went in with my brown brow pencil to fill in any sparse areas!

Cheeks

For the cheeks I kept it very simple, Belle always looks blushed in the films but not overly pink. So I went with a peach blush, the one I used was Natural Collection Blush in Peach Melba 🙂 I placed this on the apples of my cheeks (to find where this is, smile & it’s the high bit you get under your eyes!) & swept the colour back. I find this application method to be the most flattering.

Lips

To Complete the look I opted for a simple lip. I just decided to line my lips with my ELF Long Wear Lip Liner in Mauve Luxe!

Hair

hair

To make this look more polished I put my hair into a bun. I then added in a small rose hair grip into the back of my hair as this look wouldn’t be complete without a rose! I also pulled out some short strands of hair around my face to frame my face a bit!

wpid-img_20140803_154542.jpg

Here is the completed look. I hope you all enjoyed my Belle inspired makeup look! This is such a wearable look, either day or night, I think it’s timeless (very fitting for the Disney story!). Let me know what you think 🙂

Thank you for reading beauties, have a fabulous day! ☼

Lots of Love Natasha ❤

Disney Series: Ariel!♥

Hi beauties. ☼

It’s that time of the week again where I show you how to get the look of another Disney character. Since both Ariel & Belle got 50% of the votes I chose to re-create Ariels look. I will do an inspired look for Belle next 🙂 In the meantime feel free to give me other character suggestions in the comments below!

p.s. all shadows used are from the same ELF Pallette (don’t know what it’s called, sorry)

wpid-20140712_201400.jpg

If you’d like to know how I achieved my Ariel inspired look, then read on…

wpid-20140712_201324.jpg

As always, I started off with a fresh face, which I had already toned & moisturised with Simple (for my morning skincare routine click here). I have also applied some concealer to my eyelids to act as a primer for the shadows I’m going to be applying!!

wpid-20140712_201450.jpgwpid-20140712_201624.jpg

I started off by applying this lavender blue-y purple to the lids, just upto the socket! I absolutely love this colour, it just screamed Ariel to me!

wpid-20140712_201755.jpgwpid-20140712_201858.jpg

I then deepened up the outer corners by applying this darker purple. This just adds dimension to the look, lets face it, it’s a beautiful colour!

20140712_20212820140712_202336

To brigten the inner corners I applied this gorgeous mint green colour, this wouldn’t be an Ariel inspired look without a pop of green in there somewhere 🙂

wpid-20140712_202605.jpgwpid-20140712_202639.jpg

To make the colour on my lower lash line pop I applied this white kohl liner at my bottom lashes. I then pushed a red shadow over the top & used the brush to smudge it out! I didn’t really like it as much, so I went on to apply liner…

wpid-20140712_203119.jpgwpid-20140712_203335.jpg

Since I didn’t like the red as much on the lower lashes I decided to smudge my purple Gosh liner into my waterline & lashline! I also applied my purple Rimmel liner into my tightline. To tie this look together I also applied my Maybelline One By One Mascara to my top & bottom lashes!

wpid-20140712_204154.jpgwpid-20140712_204232.jpg

To prep my skin I wanted to try out my sample of MAC Prep & Prime (like for a review!). For the skin I wanted a dewy, sort of ‘wet’ look to the skin, as Ariel is a mermaid!! I chose to use my L’Oreal True Match Foundation mixed with the Me Me Me Beat The Blues Highlighter, I absolutely adore this combo for dewy skin!

I then covered my under eye circles with the Maybelline Eraser Concealer & covered my blemishes with my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. For both these steps I used my Real Techniques Complexion sponge to blend these products into my skin 🙂

To set my t-zone in place I went in with my Rimmel Stay Matte powder with my Real Techniques Kabuki Brush, DUUUUR!!

wpid-20140712_220456.jpgwpid-20140712_204601.jpg

To complete my Ariel inspired look I of course filled in my brows, well lightly filled in, just where there were sparse areas! I used my ELF Eyebrow Kit, MUA Clear Mascara & RT Brow Brush. As most people associate the colour red with Ariel (because of her hair), I went for a bold red lip to complete the look 🙂

complete

So thats my finished Ariel inspired look. Make sure to follow me to continue this series with me, up next week is Belle. Also don’t forget to give me suggestions in the comments below 🙂

Thanks for reading beauties xo

Disney Series: Mulan!♥

Hi beauties. ☼

I know this is two days late but I had already scheduled a post for Wednesday, so don’t fret, the Disney Series continues…

I decided I would re-create the look of Mulan. She isn’t the most conventional Disney Princess, but that’s why she’s one of my favourites 🙂 Oh yea, don’t forget to vote on the poll (end of post) for which Princess’ makeup you’d like me to re-create next week! xo

Anyway, let’s get on to it…

wpid-20140703_203104.jpg
As always, I started off with a freshly cleansed, toned & moisturised face (if you’d like to see my morning skincare routine click here). As you can see my eye bags look particularly dark & I have a few blemishes! Oh, I’d already had mascara on earlier in the day so I didn’t bother taking it off!! #lazy

wpid-20140703_204134.jpg

wpid-photogrid_1404489334726.jpg

1. As Mulan has super perfect skin I used my all time fave foundation; L’Oreal True Match Foundation (for a review click here) to even out those nasty blemishes & dark circles. I applied this all over my face in a buffing/stippling motion using my Real Techniques Buffing Brush.

2. To conceal the dark circles I used my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, I just press this into the skin using my ring finger. Although the foundation does an amazing job at evening out the skin tone i still need extra coverage for my under eyes! They were particularly bad this day.

3. To ensure your face makeup lasts all day don’t forget to powder it. I used the FAB Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder.

4. Mulan has a peach-y, pink blush to her cheeks, so to re-create that I mixed together my Natural Collection Blushes in the shades Peach Melba & Pink Cloud. This gave me the closest & most gorgeous colour to my cheeks. To apply the blush I used my RT Stippling Brush, this brush is fool-proof, it doesn’t pick a ton of product up which is great when working with blushes! 🙂

wpid-20140703_210611.jpgwpid-photogrid_1404489401987.jpg

On with the eyes. Mulan has quite a simple makeup look, I choose to contour the socket of my eye with Benefit’s Hoola, to apply this I used the RT Base Shadow Brush! I then lined my lash line & winged it out a little, nothing too dramatic but just to give the eyes a bit of a lift. To do this I used my Maybelline Gel Liner in Black & my 17 angled brush to get a precise line/wing. Using my Rimmel White Kohl Liner I lined my waterline to open up my eyes. As I already had my Maybelline Rocket Volum’ Mascara on, I just went over the lashes to intensify them.

wpid-20140703_210626.jpgwpid-photogrid_1404489486205.jpgTo finish off the look I combed through my brows & defined them with my brown Eyebrow Pencil (don’t know the brand, sorry!!). I curved my eyebrows, rather than creating a precise angle, as Mulan’s brows are more rounded. To complete the look I applied my Topshop Lips in Screen Siren, I over drew my top & bottom lips to make them look more pouty & defined, like Mulans.

Overall I like how this Mulan inspired makeup look turned out. As always, we cannot end without a selfie, a fierce Mulan selfie to be precise…

wpid-20140703_210449.jpg

I hope you’ve enjoyed this Mulan inspired look as much as I enjoyed creating it. I absolutely adore Disney & doing these makeup looks makes me sooooo excited 😀

Which Disney Princess would you like to see me re-create next week?

Disney Series: Aurora!♥

Hi beauties. ☼

I’m aware I didn’t get my Disney post up last week, but I totally forgot & got so tied up in other things!

Don’t fret though, I’m going to be continuing this Disney Series. You all seemed to love my Maleficent post (click here to see how I achieved the look of Maleficent!) so I decided I’d definitely carry on the series!

Today I have for you an Aurora, Sleeping Beauty, inspired makeup look. I’m so excited for this, she’s my favourite Princess ❤

Anyway, on with the look beauties…base

As usual I started with a freshly cleansed face (first image), I used my Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish. I then toned & moisturised my skin with Simple (click here  for morning skincare routine).

1. I then went on to prime my face with the Gosh Velvet Touch Primer (click here  for review).

2. To even out my complexion I decided on a BB cream, this is the Rimmel Matte BB Cream – let me know if you want a review – my skin was quite good on this day so I didn’t need a high coverage foundation! I used the Real Techniques Buffing Brush to buff/stipple this into the skin.

3. To conceal any redness/blemishes I went in with my beloved Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in #1 fair. Needless to say, I love this stuff!!

4. To counteract my dark circles I went in with the Maybelline Eye Concealer. This is brilliant for highlighting your under-eyes, cheek bones & cupids bow (usually the places I like to use it!)

5. To set the base in place I used my good old Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent!

6. As this is a look for Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), I just had to use blush, so I used my fave blush; Sleek’s Shimmer Blush in Rose Gold. It gives such a subtle amount of colour (which is buildable) & the most beautiful sheen to the skin.

eyes

1. For the eyes I started off by applying the Maybelline 24hr Colour Tattoo in Pink Gold all over the lid, I usually just apply these with my fingers as that’s the best way I’ve found to apply them to get the best pigmentation.

2. I then applied the Maybelline 24hr Colour Tattoo in Eternal Gold to the inner corners to brighten them up & to add a different touch to the look. Which I think makes it look extra Princess-y.

3. To blend the look together I blended the pink shade from my Maybelline Diamond Glow Coral Drama Quad into the crease with my Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush. This extra step adds more definition & dimension to the eye too!

4. To make the lashes look thicker & flirtier I created a thin line of liner on my lash line using the lovely L’Oreal Super Liner (click here for review)

5. To complete the eyes, I applied lashings of the Maybelline One By One Mascara! Seriously, how much difference does that make? LOVE IT!!brows.lips

1. Tame those brows girl! I started off by combing through mine with a spoolie.

2. I then decided to change things up a bit & use my brow pencil in light brown. I don’t know what make it is, it’s rubbed off as I’ve had it for ages, oops!

3. This wouldn’t be an Aurora makeup look without a bold pink lippy! I used Maybelline’s Colour Sensational Lipstick in 910 – Shocking Coral. Can I just say beauties, I’ve fallen in loveeeewith this colour again, it. is. gorgeous!!!

So here’s the finished look…endlook

I hope you liked my Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) inspired makeup look, I also braided the front of my hair to give it a more Princess-y feel.

OH YES! Before I forget, I have an outfit for this look too…

dress

I remembered I bought this dress a few months back for my holiday & thought it’d be perfect for this Aurora inspired look!

I really like how this look turned out. Let me know what you think below & as ever, thank you all for your time! 🙂

*sidenote* I know there’s A LOT of Maybelline products used in this look, but that was a total coincidence! This is in no way sponsored by them, all opinions are my own!

Lots of Love Natasha ❤

Disney Series: Maleficent!♥

Hi beauties. ☼

I’ve decided I’m going to start a new series, every Wednesday I’m going to do a makeup look for a different Disney Character 🙂 Let me know if you think this is a good idea? Will only continue to do it if my beauties would like to see it…

Anyway, on with todays tutorial for Maleficent, as you may know Angelina Jolie is playing Maleficent in her own movie (which is in cinemas now!!) & this is where I got the inspiration (see featured image).

20140603_140416face

Firstly, I started off with a freshly cleansed & moisturised face. I then primed my face using Benefit’s Porefessional, I tap this into the skin to fill in any pores. The foundation I chose to use for this look was the L’Oreal True Match Foundation, I used my trusty buffing brush to stipple/buff this into the skin, to correct my under eye circles I went in with the Maybelline concealer & for any blemishes/redness I used the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer. To ensure this is all set in place & to give it a matte finish I topped my base off with the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder!

This look is pretty much all about the strong contour & bold lips, so to create a sharp contour I used my beloved Benefit Hoola Bronzer & Real Techniques Contour Brush – this combination is perfect for achieving chiseled cheekbones. I brought the product down the sides of my mouth a little to elongate my face.

20140603_142739

eyes&brows

The eyes are quite simple, to create this look I used MAC’s Eyeshadow in Naked Lunch all over the lid & browbone. I then blended the purple shade from this ELF Beautybook Palette into the crease & upwards towards the brow, to create more depth I intensified the purple in the outer V! For liner I used the L’Oreal Super Liner to apply a thin line & small wing to the lash line, I then went in with the Rimmel Scandeleyes Kohl in black to the tightline & waterline, right into the inner corners!! To complete the eyes I applied a couple of coats of Maybelline’s Rocket Volum’ Mascara!!

Maleficent’s brows are quite defined so I went in with my amazing ELF Eyebrow Kit & Real Techniques Brow Brush to fill them in. If you’d like a full eyebrow tutorial click here.

20140603_143357 lips

The last step to completing my Maleficent inspired makeup look was to apply my Topshop Lips Lipstick in Screen Siren. I applied it straight from the bullet but it’s always a good idea to use a lip brush to get a perfect finish!

I hope you all liked my Maleficent inspired makeup look – I’m obsessed, definitely going to wear this out at some point! – let me know if you think I should continue this series as I thought you beauties may like it since it’s something a bit different! 🙂

Lots of Love Natasha ♥
