Makeup of the day

Hey lovelies 😘

Ahhhhh, I’m super excited to be back! Just trying to get my shizz together; growing a human is hard!! *laughs*

Today I actually wore makeup, so thought I’d show you my go to look at the minute 🙂

Each time I go to put on makeup I gravitate towards these products, well the face products at least 🙂 eye products vary depending on my mood & what look I’m going for that day 🙂

Today I just wanted a quick look that I could throw on before the school run! So here it is… let’s get started…

Ever since becoming pregnant I haven’t really wore a lot of makeup, my skin has changed so much! BYE BYE Mrs oily, hello dry desert face 😂😂 I’m thinking an updated skincare routine is in order so definitely let me know if you’d like to see that 🙂

Anyway, for my face I’ve been keeping it simple! As this NYX Mineral Stick Foundation is pretty moisturizing I have been loving it, paired with my trusty collection lasting perfection concealer & you can’t go wrong! 😍 Using the stick foundation all over & the collection concealer under my eyes I then blend both in using my FOREVER TRUSTED Real Techniques buffing brush!!😃

As my face has been dry I haven’t been bothering to use powder; if I do set it I’ve been loving using a setting spray!!

I wish I had some ground breaking look to share with you, but sadly it’s an easy peasy one today!! Be to be honest, I sometimes prefer these sort of looks, how about you?🙂

Today I used just 2 shadows!! Whaaaat!? Yes, only 2!! & I love how it turned out😍

I used the shade optimistic all over my lid, love this as a base, such a nice consistency & balance of shimmer! 😍 On the crease & outer edge I used the shade agile.. these mauve/burgundy shades are my fave for making my green eyes POP!!😃

No eye look is complete without mascara & brows so I just popped on a small amount of mascara & defined my brows with my fave brow gel🙂

What mascara have you ladies been loving??🙂love trying new ones!!

These next products are probably my ALL TIME FAVE!! ❤ each time I have done my makeup these last few months I’ve reached for these… absolutely loveeeee how they make my skin look!! 😍 what are they you ask?….

Soap & Glory love at first blush, this just gives you the most natural, radiant looking blush/sunkissed glow😍 I then top it off with my FAVE highlighter, Younique a la mode highlight in iridescent 😃

Here’s how they look on my skin…

How beautiful do they look? Love how naturally glowy they make me ☺😍

For my lips I just threw on my maybelline baby lips, think it’s the cherry one so it’s slightly tinted!!☺ I’m living for anything nourishing & hydrating at the minute 🙂

LUSH: Golden Egg Bath Bomb ♥

Hi Beauties ☼

Thanks to my beautiful twin (beautifulbreakable), again, I recently tried the Lush Golden Egg Bath Bomb Melt. It is slightly different to a normal bath bomb in that it’s very moisturising as it is made up of cocoa butter and olive oil, while being dusted in gold glitter.

What Lush say about it…

This spectacular invention has combined a Bath Bomb and a Luxury Bath Melt to create (drumroll please…) the Bath Bomb Melt! Its creamy, moisturizing cocoa butter exterior encases a fizzy Bath Bomb center, and the whole egg is dusted in a delicate golden luster.

Here you can see it fizzing away…

I totally agree that this is a luxury bath bomb melt as it made my skin feel so amazing & soft. For the small price of £3.75 (I think, not sure as I didn’t buy it!!) I really believe it is worth it. The cocoa butter & olive oil leave the skin super soft while the scent leaves you relaxed & calm.

Here you can see how creamy & bubbly it is. It makes the water & your skin feel silky soft.

This bath bomb melt is a toffee/honey scent. If you’ve ever smelt the Honey I Washed The Kids soap you’ll know exactly how luscious it smells!

Overall, this is probably my favourite product I’ve tried. It is so luxurious, makes you smell lovely & even look lovely, as you gain a subtle shimmer to your skin! I don’t know whether you can still buy this in Lush, but if you get the chance to, then I suggest you pick it up!

Have you tried this golden egg bath bomb melt? If so, did you like it? 🙂

Lots of Love Natasha

Sleek Oh So Special Palette & Swatches!♥

Hi beauties. ☼ After purchasing my first Sleek Makeup eyeshadow palette I decided to create a swatches post so you can see what shades this palette includes. I also wanted to share with you my love of Sleek & I highly recommend you try the brand if you haven’t (especially their eyeshadows). However, there is one product I cannot get along with (more about this in an upcoming post!!) Anyway, here we go…

Firstly, here’s the packaging for the palette, I love the idea of the loose eyeshadow design on the front, it looks fab! There are also tips on how to apply the eyeshadow on the back of the box. I think this is great, especially if you’re a beginner with makeup 🙂

The packaging for the actual palette is very ‘Sleek’, as the name would suggest. It is a soft plastic, which tends to cling to other makeup & get dirty, but hey-ho, it looks pretty!

Here are the colours in the palette. As you can see there is quite a wide range of colours, which I love, it means I can get a shed load of looks just from this palette 🙂

In the first half of the palette we have pinky purple shades & the other half has more wearable browns & taupes to make the look more wearable or deepen it up for an evening look!

In this palette there are 5 shimmery shades & 7 matte shades. This is great as the darker crease shades are matte, I prefer this as matte shadows are better at giving definition to the eye. Also, the white colour is matte, I love using this as a subtle highlight!

If you’d like to see a look I created with this palette, then go to my previous sleek post here.

Here are the swatches of the top line of eyeshadows…

Colours from left to right: Bow, Organza, Ribbon, Gift Basket, Glitz & Celebrate.

Here are the swatches of the bottom line of eyeshadows…

Colours from top to bottom: Pamper, Gateau, The Mail, Boxed, Wrapped Up & Noir.

Have you tried any Sleek Makeup Palettes? If so, which one? 🙂

Thank you for reading beauties, have a fabulous day! ☼

Lots of Love Natasha ❤

TAG: I ♥ Drugstore/Cheap Makeup!♥

Hi beauties. ☼

The lovely mammulikes tagged me to do this amazing I ♥ Drugstore/Cheap Makeup TAG 🙂 I cannot wait to share with you guys what drugstore products I love. Most of my makeup collection consists of drugstore/highstreet products so this is going to be difficult!

p.s. I have already done this but it was back in May so lets call this an updated I ♥ Drugstore Makeup TAG! xo

1. What is your favorite drugstore/cheap makeup brand overall?

My favourite drugstore/highstreet makeup would probably have to be either Maybelline or Revlon! I always seem to love a wide range of their products 🙂

2. What are your favorite face, cheek and lip products?

My fave face products are L’Oreal True Match Foundation & the Rimmel Matte BB Cream. They are such great products, if you’d like a review on the Rimmel BB Cream let me know, or checkout my review for the L’Oreal Foundation here.

My fave cheek product from the drugstore has to be my Sleek Blush in Rose Gold. I adore this blush, it looks gorgeous & has a beautiful shimmer to it.

For lips, as you can see, I’ve got a few faves, however they are all from Revlon. I’ve been loving the Colourburst Matte Balm Lipsticks in the shades Audacious & Showy Flamboyante. The next Revlon lippys I love are their Lip Butters in the shades Sweet Tart, Raspberry Pie & Candy Apple 🙂

3. Least favorite product?

After hearing so much hype about the whole colour match service No7 were offering & over the foundation itself, I took the plunge & bought the No7 Stay Perfect Foundation. At first I did quite like it but after using it for a while I started to dislike it more & more. It’s a weird ash-y colour, although it looks alright on the skin it looks weird when applying, it’s pretty sheer & doesn’t have a very good staying power.

4. What is the best makeup bargain?

Hands down, MUA! MUA has such amazing products for so cheap. These single eyeshadows are just £1, so are their lippys & they’re fab too. This palette was an astounding £4, their eyeshadows are so pigmented & easy to blend. They almost seem like a luxurious product but for a very affordable price!!

5. What is your favorite underdog product? (Something you love that often gets overlooked?)

Sleek in general, but in particular their lipsticks. Sleek (& their lippys) aren’t very talked about here in the beauty community, people have recognised their fab shadows & blushes, but their lippys still remain an underdog product.

6. A drugstore product that is overpriced?

I’d probably have to say the No7 Stay Perfect Foundation (£14.50), again, or the L’Oreal Glam Shine Lipglosses (£7.99). They just aren’t worth the money I paid for them.

7. Show your best drugstore dupe(s)!!

I would say that the Gosh Velvet Touch Primer is a great dupe for Benefit Porefessional, in my eyes it’s better!

Tanya Burr Lipgloss in Afternoon Tea is a pretty good dupe for MAC Creme Cup Lipstick.

Maybelline Gel Liner in Black would be a dupe for MAC’s Gel Liner.

Lastly, Maybelline’s Colour Tattoos are a dupe for MAC’s Paint Pots 😀

8. Drugstore product that isn’t worth the hype?

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipsticks, I don’t have mine anymore as I binned it. It really was rubbish, so drying on the lips & just did not apply smoothly!

I tag…

Thanks for reading, I can’t wait to read everyone else’s TAG post. Also, as I’ve said I’ve previously done this so if you’d like to read my original post, click here.

Lots of Love Natasha ❤

Project 10 Pan

5. L’Oreal True Match Foundation: Project 10 Pan!♥

Hi beauties. ☼

Finally, it’s time for the very anticipated review on the L’Oreal True Match Foundation. I have been using this foundation for a year or so now, even though this is probably only my second bottle (yes, it really does last a long time!!). So it’s safe to say I’ll be able to give you an honest & well-tested opinion of this foundation. I hope you find this review interesting or at least helpful! Lets begin…

What L’Oreal claim:

The silky texture of True Match blends seamlessly with the skin. It automatically adjusts to the texture of the skin to create a flawless finish. Oil-free and non-comedogenic.

Do I agree with L’Oreal’s claim? Yes, I definitely would agree. This foundation does have a silky texture as it is liquidy in consistency when pumped onto the back of the hand, I think this helps with the brilliant blendability as it does blend seamlessly & effortlessly into the skin!I don’t know whether it ‘adjusts’ to the skin, but the colour I use (N1) is a perfect match for me, so just make sure you choose the shade best for you! I agree that the foundation is oil-free & non-comedogenic (doesn’t cause blocked pores) as it lasts all day, with no need to touch up, even on my oily skin, it never feels cakey & doesn’t break me out 🙂

L’Oreal have created an amazing range of ’20 true to skin’ shades, these include warm, cool & neutral tones. How amazing are L’Oreal? For a high-street/drugstore brand it is a pleasant surprise, finally an affordable brand caters for ALL skin colours & tones 🙂

To apply this foundation I use my Real Techniques Buffing Brush (click here for review) or my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, iI find both of these to apply the foundation like a dream. I use a stippling motion (with the brush or sponge) to blend in the foundation as this gives the most flawless finish. If I’m using the buffing brush I will then use small circular motions to buff out the edges of my foundation around my hairline, under the chin & down the neck. This foundation, being a very lightweight consistency, is applied effortlessly & to be honest, you could probably apply it without a mirror & still look flawless!!

What I think of L’Oreal True Match

This product retails at £9.99, it is definitely a steal at this price. L’Oreal True Match is a FAB foundation, especially considering it’s from the high-street. It lasts amazingly on the skin, I don’t feel the need to powder throughout the day (even with oily skin), it doesn’t cake up; even if you build it up (it can be as sheer or as opaque as you want it to be), & it is super easy to work with!

This would be a great foundation for anyone, whether you are starting out with makeup or you’re more experienced with makeup, it really is that good!

To me, it is pretty fragrance free, I cannot detect a strong scent & I hate scented face makeup. Its an all round winner!!

Overall, I would definitely rate this product 5/5. It has everything I look for in a foundation; perfect shade, lasts all day & is natural looking. It is pretty much a universal foundation, whats not to love about that? 🙂

Have you tried this foundation? If yes, let me know what you think of it below, I always love to hear what my beauties think ❤

I ♥ Drugstore Tag!

Hi beauties ☼

I don’t know how long this tag has been going around the blogosphere but after seeing ninarossbeauty post this tag I decided ‘why the heck not do it myself!!’.

Basically, the purpose of this tag is for bloggers to share their favourite, & not so favourite, beauty products which are ALL from the drugstore/highstreet (we use the word highstreet here in the UK)!

As most of my makeup is from the drugstore/highstreet I thought this tag was perfect to share with you all what I’m loving (& loathing) at the moment 🙂

I hope you all enjoy this tag ♥ Feel free to do it yourself & tag me so I can read your post (I love to know what everyone else is enjoying from the drugstore!!) xox

  1. What is your favourite drugstore brand?

My favourite drugstore brand has got to be Real Techniques by Sam & Nic Chapman (or pixiwoo). These brushes are AMAZING, they are so soft, versatile & very affordable (what more could we want?) – I have to admit that I have quite an obsession with these brushes, I probably own over half of the collection (oops). But seriously guys, once you have once brush you’ll want them all 🙂 If you’d like to see an in-depth review of the Core Collection then click here.

2. What are your favourite face, cheek and lip products?

Face: For foundation I love the L’Oreal True Match Foundation, it is a holy grail product for me, even when I try new foundations I know i’ll always go back to this one (it is a brilliant foundation for its price)! If you’d like a review on this foundation let me know in the comments below 🙂 For powder it has to be Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder, this powder is so cheap yet leaves you matte for the WHOLE day & doesn’t look cake-y either!!

Cheek: Sleek Shimmer Blush in Rose Gold. OH WOW. I cannot even begin to express my love for this beauty!! It is such a gorgeous pink with flecks of gold running through it. Although it looks VERY scary in the pan, the shimmer is more of a subtle sheen/candelit glow, it really does leave your skin looking so healthy & GORGEOUS (let me know if you’d like a review & swatches :))

Lip: I am loving the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Showy Flamboyante (to see it on my lips click here), it is a fabulous colour for this time of year (spring, coming into summer! YAY) & it definitely cheers me up on those dull days. For an evening makeup look I LOVE the Topshop ‘Lips’ Lipstick in Beguiled (for a review click here) – it is a vampy red lipstick which is perfect for turning a daytime look into an evening look 🙂

3. What is your least favourite product?

My least favourite product from the drugstore would have to be this L’Oreal Glam Shine 6 Hour Gloss in 102 – Always Pink. What can I say, I really do regret buying this product (which rarely happens), it is such a sticky, gloopy formula which really doesn’t feel nice on the lips at all, plus for the price of £8.69 I really had high expectations for it as to me this is quite pricey for a drugstore gloss!! Yes, the colour is pretty & it smells moderatly nice, but I’m afraid this gloss is a no-no for me due to the horrible formula :(.

4. What is your best makeup bargain?

This MUA Heaven & Earth Eyeshadow Palette is such a STEAL! I literally can’t sing its praises enough; for only £4 you get 12 highly pigmented eyeshadows. Seriously beauties, if you haven’t tried any of MUA’s eyeshadows you NEED to right now (I also own some of the single shadows, they are equally as fabulous!!) – I know MUA is a brand in the UK but I’m afraid I don’t know where else it is available, if it is also available in your country comment below letting me know, it really does intruige me 🙂

5. What is your favourite underdog product?

My favourite underdog product is hands down this Gosh Velvet Touch Primer. Although Gosh is meant to be one of the more pricier drugstore brands this primer is worth EVERY penny (all £10.99 of them in fact). This product is so under-rated it needs more love, we love you Gosh Primer, it makes your makeup go on like a dream & helps it stay on your skin ALL-DAY-LONG!! (comment below if you’d like a review) 🙂

6. What do you think are overpriced drugstore products?

In my eyes the Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer’s are the most overpriced drugstore product I own. At first I thought £6.49 was a bit steep for a lip product from the drugstore (and I was right), however, due to the hype over these products I gave in & purchased two of the shades, (left-right) Luna & Apocaliptic. Lets not beat around the bush, these colours are very nice & do last quite well on the lips, BUT (this is a big but) as I started to apply them I noticed they started to bleed out of my lip line, they smell pretty weird & don’t feel the best on the lips, so naturally I was let down as from the hype I was expecting greater things. Have you tried the Apocalips? If so, let me know your thoughts in the comments!

7. What are your best drugstore dupes?

I’ve heard beauty bloggers rave about how the Maybelline 24H Colour Tattoo‘s (this one’s ‘On & On Bronze’) are dupes for MAC’s paint pots & the Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Liner‘s are dupes for the Bobbi Brown gel liners! As of yet I haven’t tried any of MAC’s paint pots or the Bobbi Brown liner so I guess we’ll have to take their words for it. But apparently they are both similar in the way they last a long time on the eye & their texture :).

8. What drugstore product is not worth the hype?

So many beauty bloggers & YouTubers raved about the Rimmel Kate Moss Lipsticks & how amazing they were, but after purchasing one (probably over a year ago now) I didn’t see the hype! I have shade 101, which is a dusty pink colour, the colour is quite nice but the formula is HORRID! It feels so chalky & drying on the lips, I definitely won’t be purchasing anymore!!

The second product I don’t think is worth the hype is No7’s Stay Perfect Foundation. After seeing all the adverts of boots’ matching service for this foundation & beauty bloggers reviews I decided to go for it. This isn’t the worst foundation ever, but it is nowhere near what people made it out to be; the colour is weird (looks really ashy), it smells funky & doesn’t last on the skin at all!! Again, if you have tried this product; let me know your thoughts below 🙂
