Laritzy Shade Stix Review

Hi you beautiful lot,

Yay!! I have a makeup related post.. Will be more to come as well as I have subscribed to Glossybox again & loving the products they’re sending so expect a lot of reviews & first impressions!🙂

I’ll definitely do a post when I get my next box to show you all what I got! A lot of my products this month was skincare so I like to try it for a little while before giving my opinions so it is fair!🙂

I’m so excited to write this post cos I’ve absolutely fallen in love with this product! I’d never heard of this brand before, that’s the beauty of Glossybox though you discover products you wouldn’t normally hear about!

Laritzy is a pretty new company only founded in 2016.. their ethos is amazing…

Here’s how Laritzy describes their shade stix…

Introducing our new cream Shade Stix that will give you that perfect, subtle sun-kissed glow. The formula is highly pigmented, buildable, and weightless to make it easy to accomplish that perfectly blended look that will stay all day.

What do I think of the shade stix!?

I absolutely ADORE the shade stix, it is such a perfect colour, yes even for me & my pale skin! HOORAY!!

At first I was terrified, I’d never used a stick contour before, I applied it to my face & instantly thought ‘sh*t that’s way too pigmented & far too dark!’. As I started to blend it in to my skin it just looked so seamless & effortless, the colour looks so natural like you have caught the sun & have a natural tan.. which if your like me (don’t tan at all) you could definitely do with this!

The formula is super creamy too but doesn’t feel oily on the skin at all, it just glides on so easily & doesn’t dry down super fast so you have time to blend it out! As a new mum I need products that make my makeup application super quick, that last all day. This has definitely done this!

As you can see from the above picture the product is a decent size & you do get 9 grams of product which is fab, you literally use the tiniest amount each time so this is going to last me a good while!

The only down side is that as far as I’m aware there’s only one shade, aloha, as you can see it works for my pale skin & would definitely work for a lot of people but unfortunately would probably not be dark enough for deep skin tones! Hopefully they’re working on more shades as this seems like it’s a very new release, it is currently out of stock!

How I applied the shade stix

Since its summer I’ve been loving a light base so I just used my bareminerals complexion rescue & collection concealer! I then went in with the shade stix in the areas I wanted to contour! Literally just stripe it on to the face, I then went in with my Real Techinques Contour Brush, this brush is perfect for the job as it is nice & fluffy but precise so you keep the contour in the areas you want it!

BLEND BLEND BLEND!! Always key in makeup, make sure all edges are soft; I go in with my Real Techinques Sponge to soften the lines even more, make sure it is fully blended & pressed in to the skin!

❤COMMENT BELOW if you’d like to see a full in depth post on how to contour for your face shape!❤

How gorgeous & sunkissed does this look, I used the back camera to capture the full effect as the front camera (used for the above image) makes things seem lighter!

To finish off my face I went over the entire face with my powder foundation, this adds slightly more coverage & makes the contour look super seamless. You could just go in with a transparent powder if you use a higher coverage foundation underneath & just mattify/set areas that need it most!🙂

Is it worth the money!?

This retails for $24 which is about £18, to me this product really is worth that price! I have paid far more for products that haven’t preformed half as good as this!! It does what it says on the tin & stays all day! 😍 Totally recommend!

Laritzy Shade Stix also used for this look…

A big round of applause to Laritzy, you have made the perfect contour stick!! Unfortunately it is actually sold out at the minute😕 but I’ll include the link below in case it becomes available!🙂

June Glossybox Review!♥

Hi beauties. ☼

After receiving my June Glossybox a few days ago, I thought I’d share with you what I got! 🙂

wpid-20140617_001555.jpg

1. Rituals Qi Gong 24hr anti-perspirant – getting an anti-perspirant in my Glossybox was a weird surprise, I didn’t expect it! Nevertheless it smells gorgeous, very floral as its organic white lotus & Yi Yi ren scented – I’m assuming their flowers!

2. Pro:voke Touch of Silver – this is a brightening shampoo for blonde, grey & white hair. It stops the hair from getting that brassy look. I know this works & is FAB as I’ve previously owned this! Was needing some more actually, thanks Glossybox! 🙂

3. Nail Girls 3 in 1 base, topcoat & nail strengthener –  this product sounds exciting. I cannot wait to try it! fingers crossed it works.

4. So Susan Cosmetics Universal blush –  this blush apparently works with the skins natural pigment, hence why it’s “universal”. It also claims to reduce redness & offers UV protection. Oh & it’s cruelty free 🙂 WOW! Cannot wait to try this – let me know if you’d like a review/swatches 🙂

5. Teeez Trend Cosmetics Beautiful Flat Stiff Brush – this is a very trendy looking eyeshadow brush. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’ll let you know what it’s like. I LOVEtrying new brushes!wpid-20140617_001900.jpg

Have you tried any of these products? What do you think of them? – comment below!

Overall I would say I’m happy about this months Glossybox, I’d give it a 4/5. I’m super excited to try all these products but have liked the products in previous boxes more. However, I still would recommend the Glossybox service, at least it gives you the opportunity to try brands you hadn’t heard of & a diversity of products each month.

Thank you for reading beauties. If you received a Glossybox, let me know in the comments what you got 🙂 xo

Lots of Love Natasha ❤

May Glossybox: Superdrug 50 years special!♥

Hi beauties. ☼

This months Glossybox was in collaboration with Superdrug for the summer beauty edit to celebrate 50 years of the high street store Superdrug! As this is a collaboration with Superdrug they have included ALL products you’d find in Superdrug stores. To me this is brilliant as it means they’re all affordable & easy to find to repurchase! 🙂

wpid-20140525_195223-1.jpg

As always, this months Glossybox came beautifully packaged. Staying within the Superdrug theme the front of the box has a huge ’50’ on the front in pink & gold, it also carries the pink & gold theme on through to the packaging on the inside, with pink tissue paper & gold ribbon! This adds a gorgeous, feminine touch to the box which feels extra special since it’s a themed edition. Glossybox NEVER fails to make you feel special with its luxurious packaging & tailored-to-you products!

Here are the products I received in this months box:

  1. Rimmel London Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara (full size) – I am super excited to try this mascara out, it has a curved wand, which is also pretty big, the formula looks ultra black & if the results are anything like it claims this should be a FAB mascara.
  2. B. Sheer Conditioning Lipstick – ‘B.’ is quite a new brand in Superdrug, so I’m happy to see this product in here as I haven’t yet tried anything from this brand. This is a moisturising lipstick, it claims to have the coverage of a lipstick but still giving your lips a soft sheen. I got the colour caramel which is a ‘your lips but better’ shade.
  3. GOSH Cosmetics Velvet Touch Eyeliner – I’m probably most excited about this product, as you all know I love the GOSH Velvet Touch Primer, so I’m hoping for VERY good things from this. It claims to be a smudge-proof yet nourishing eyeliner, well we’ll see about that!!
  4. Superdrug Large Doughnut Ring – I love doughnut rings, they make putting your hair into a bun so much easier!
  5. 2True PRO 3D Candy Nail Art – I’ve wanted to try something like this for a while, so I’m glad this was in my Glossybox. They’re little beads which you can use to decorate your nails, I have the black ones but I’m sure they do them in plenty of other colours 🙂
  6. As well as those 5 amazing products I received two extra samples, the first is a sample of the Ghost Eclipse Perfume – This is a very beautiful fragrance, it smells very fresh and fruity, which is what I LOVE in a perfume! I think glossybox may just have found me a new perfume to add to my collection!!
  7. The second sample is the Garnier Oil Beauty Body Lotion – I haven’t yet tried it but I’ve had Garnier moisturisers in the past & have never been disappointed, so I’m hoping for good things with this 🙂

April Glossybox Review!♥

Hi beauties.

I thought I’d share with you my April Glossybox 🙂 The products come wrapped in black tissue paper, with a bow around it (super cute!) to hold it together. On top of that is a card with a description about each product, a welcome card to Glossybox & a ‘Glossy Magazine’ (pictured below) 😀 The presentation is BEAUTIFUL & adds to the special feeling you get when you receive a Glossybox!! ♥

20140417_104252
So I guess you’re wondering what products I received this month. The first product is a full-size Emite Makeup Lip BrushL312 – it is a synthetic brush which means it’s allergy free & is super easy to clean!

The second product is a sample size of Monu Spa’s warming ginger massage & body oil – I have only tried this once in the shower, I took a pea-sized amount and massaged it into the skin – it leaves the skin feeling soft and and nourished!

The Third product is a full-size MeMeMe Cosmetics – Beat the blues – pearl pink – it is a pink pearl-y highlighter designed to highlight the desired areas of the face.

The fourth product is Tresemme’s instant refresh cleansing dry shampoo – I haven’t tried this yet, but have wanted to for a while now. It is designed to keep your hair looking fresh in-between washes, while adding volume as well!

The fifth, and final, product is the SunSense UK – daily face SPF 50+ – it is a tinted SPF which is oil-free, so very nice for those with combination/oily skin!

If you would like to see a review of any of these products I’ve mentioned I’d be more than happy to do it for you. I haven’t had time to test all the products as of yet, so wouldn’t be able to give you an honest opinion of each product! Let me know in the comments if you’d like me to do a review or if you have any other questions 🙂

Lots of Love, Natasha ♥
