Hauls

Mini haul ❤

Hi beauties 🌞

Last week I decided to nip into town since I needed a few skincare items. Obviously I didn’t just buy what I needed, haha. So today I’m  sharing with you what I picked up from Boots and Superdrug!:)

L’Oréal had a 3 for 2 offer, naturally I took it upon myself to buy 3 items. I’ve been wanting to repurchase the True Match foundation for agesssss now, so decided to pick it up. I got shade W1 as N1, the shade I got before, was a bit ghostly.
Click here for an in depth review.

The second L’Oréal product I picked up was the Brow Plumper;  my twin beautifulbreakable adores and highly recommends. Definitely look forward to a review!

image

Thirdly, I got L’Oréals Lumi Magique Concealer. I’ve not tried this so I’ll keep you all posted 🙂

image

I was running low on my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, so repurchased it. LOVEEEE this. Definitely my go to concealer!! 🙂

image

I recently discovered how much I love this Soap and Glory Sugar Crush scent so had to pick up the body wash. If you haven’t smelt it. YOU NEED TO!!

image

I was in need of a new face cleanser so decided to give this Soap and Glory Peaches and Cream Deep Cleansing Milk a try. I’ll keep you posted on it!:)

image

I’ve already done a ‘First Impression’ on this Soap and Glory No Clogs Allowed. Click here to find out more about it!

image

I’ve always been curious about Micellar Water so I decided to try this Garnier one. A review will be on its way! 🙂

Have you tried any of these products? What did you think of them? ❤

How To: Winged Eyeliner!♥

Hi beauties. ☼

How I do my winged liner has been highly requested, so I thought I’d do a step-by-step guide to show you how I get my ‘perfect’ winged eyeliner using my trust L’Oreal Super Liner in Black Lacquer (click here for a review) 🙂

Before I begin, I just want to say practice makes perfect, I used to suck big time at doing any liner, but after practicing & practicing I think I’ve finally got it. Although, I do still struggle with gel liner, so I’ve been trying to master this art too.

Anyway, let’s get started…

1.wpid-20140725_201855.jpg

To start with I’ll usually lay down a shimmer base onto my lid or just ensure the lids are powdered to make it easier to glide the liner on! I start by lining the outer corners of my eyes, just at the base of the lashes.

2. wpid-20140725_201926.jpg

Next I connect the line I just made to the inner corners of my eyes. I make sure this line is very thin, especially in the tear duct area! I rest my little finger on my cheek so I know I will achieve a straight, thin, line, as this supports the hand.

3. wpid-20140725_201939.jpg

I then like to map out where my wing will go. To do this I draw a straight line from the bottom lashes, angling towards the end of the brow. This is a good trick as it helps you get more even wings.

4. wpid-20140725_202005.jpg

After creating the ‘guide line’ for the wing, I like to connect it back to the liner I already did. To do this I place my brush at the top of the line (as seen in pic) & drag it to connect with the liner which was previously done. You should then get a triangle type shape like so.

5. wpid-20140725_202039.jpg

I then fill in the triangle which we have just created with the liner. Make sure the liner is right into those lashes, if not it can look a bit odd! When you have finished this step you have pretty much finished your liner. Obviously you just do the same to the other eye & you should get pretty even liner.

*REMEMBER: eyebrows are sisters not twins, it’s the same for your liner!!*

6.wpid-20140725_203009.jpg

If you make any mistakes just take a cotton bud (or q-tip) & lightly rub it over the mistake. The liner should come off easily without wetting the cotton bud (if it doesn’t come off, just wet it a tiny bit!).

7. wpid-20140725_203557.jpg

Once you have finished both eyes, look straight on in a mirror to make sure they look as even as you can get them. If not use the cotton bud step to neaten/even it up or use your liner to add more to whichever eye needs it.

I hope this step-by-step tutorial has been helpful for you. Let me know if it has or hasn’t, so I know what to change next time!

Also, let me know if you’d like me to film a more in-depth video tutorial on how I do my eyeliner. ☺

Project 10 Pan

10. L’Oreal Super Liner: Project 10 Pan!♥

Hi beauties. ☼

Firstly, I want to apologise for the lack of posts the past few days, life has just got on top of me & I’ve been sooo busy. I should be back to normal with my daily posts, if not there’ll be one every other day at least until I’ve sorted things out in my personal life! 🙂 But thank you all for sticking with me & supporting me! I love you all ❤

Anywhooo, on with the post. IT’S THE FINALE!! I’ve got for you my last project 10 pan review, where has time gone? It seems like only yesterday I began my project 10 pan challenge. Today I’m going to be reviewing my beloved L’Oreal Super Liner in Black Lacquer!

The L’Oreal Super Liner retails for £6.49, which to me is a steal, especially for L’Oreal as this is considered to be a more ‘high-end’ drugstore/high street product as it is usually a bit more pricey!

What L’Oreal claim:

L’Oréal Paris Superliner Precision Point is a liquid eyeliner in a special sponge tipped pen for the creation of fine lines or thick, sultry flicks. Colour is applied with precision and ease and dries without smudging.

wpid-20140613_193649.jpg

Do I agree with L’Oreals claims? Yes!This liquid eyeliner has a beautiful applicator, it really has made my life easier when it comes to applying liquid liner (as you all will know, it takes a LOT of practice!). The sponge tip applicator is hard, but not too hard, it just seems to work as it kind of soaks the product up so you don’t have to keep dipping into the tube. Making for easy & precise application whether you want a thick or thin line, flick or no flick! This eyeliner dries quite quick, but when it is dry it doesn’t move until you take it off!  – as disgusting as this is; I have left this on when I’ve slept & it’s still been intact in the morning! What more could you want for staying power?

wpid-20140613_193705.jpgThe picture above shows the beautiful precise sponge tip applicator! – This liner also has a little ball inside which helps to mix the product inside when it’s shaken! 🙂

So that’s it for my L’Oreal Super Liner review, there’s not much else I can think of saying! It’s a great product, which lasts all day & is super black! I give it a 5/5 as I know I’ll always go back to this product 😀

Well that’s it for my project 10 pan. I hope you’ve all enjoyed my posts! If you’ve missed any don’t forget to check them out – I have a drop down bar on my blog homepage which lets you search by category so just click on the project 10 pan category to view them all!

Thank you all so much for reading! 🙂 xo

5. L’Oreal True Match Foundation: Project 10 Pan!♥

Hi beauties. ☼

Finally, it’s time for the very anticipated review on the L’Oreal True Match Foundation. I have been using this foundation for a year or so now, even though this is probably only my second bottle (yes, it really does last a long time!!). So it’s safe to say I’ll be able to give you an honest & well-tested opinion of this foundation. I hope you find this review interesting or at least helpful! Lets begin…

What L’Oreal claim:

The silky texture of True Match blends seamlessly with the skin. It automatically adjusts to the texture of the skin to create a flawless finish. Oil-free and non-comedogenic.

wpid-20140513_173502.jpg

Do I agree with L’Oreal’s claim? Yes, I definitely would agree. This foundation does have a silky texture as it is liquidy in consistency when pumped onto the back of the hand, I think this helps with the brilliant blendability as it does blend seamlessly & effortlessly into the skin!I don’t know whether it ‘adjusts’ to the skin, but the colour I use (N1) is a perfect match for me, so just make sure you choose the shade best for you! I agree that the foundation is oil-free & non-comedogenic (doesn’t cause blocked pores) as it lasts all day, with no need to touch up, even on my oily skin, it never feels cakey & doesn’t break me out 🙂

L’Oreal have created an amazing range of ’20 true to skin’ shades, these include warm, cool & neutral tones. How amazing are L’Oreal? For a high-street/drugstore brand it is a pleasant surprise, finally an affordable brand caters for ALL skin colours & tones 🙂

wpid-20140513_173510.jpg

Application

To apply this foundation I use my Real Techniques Buffing Brush (click here for review) or my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, iI find both of these to apply the foundation like a dream. I use a stippling motion (with the brush or sponge) to blend in the foundation as this gives the most flawless finish. If I’m using the buffing brush I will then use small circular motions to buff out the edges of my foundation around my hairline, under the chin & down the neck. This foundation, being a very lightweight consistency, is applied effortlessly & to be honest, you could probably apply it without a mirror & still look flawless!!

What I think of L’Oreal True Match

This product retails at £9.99, it is definitely a steal at this price. L’Oreal True Match is a FAB foundation, especially considering it’s from the high-street. It lasts amazingly on the skin, I don’t feel the need to powder throughout the day (even with oily skin), it doesn’t cake up; even if you build it up (it can be as sheer or as opaque as you want it to be), & it is super easy to work with!

This would be a great foundation for anyone, whether you are starting out with makeup or you’re more experienced with makeup, it really is that good!

To me, it is pretty fragrance free, I cannot detect a strong scent & I hate scented face makeup. Its an all round winner!!

Overall, I would definitely rate this product 5/5. It has everything I look for in a foundation; perfect shade, lasts all day & is natural looking. It is pretty much a universal foundation, whats not to love about that? 🙂

Have you tried this foundation? If yes, let me know what you think of it below, I always love to hear what my beauties think ❤

15 Days of Beauty Challenge

Day 5: Shampoo & Conditioner!♥

Hi beauties.

Here is another 15 days of beauty post. Todays is shampoo & conditioner, so here are the shampoo & conditioners I most like using…

IMG_0443
*image from google*

Since I have blonde hair naturally, but dye it a lighter blonde, I like to use the John Frieda Sheer Blonde Colour Renew Tone Correcting shampoo & conditioner as it prevents my hair from getting a brassy tone. However, as I like to switch up my shampoos & conditioners, it’s not good to use the same one each time you wash it (your hair will get too used to the product & doesn’t seem to work as well as if you try have a couple shampoo/conditioners on the go at one time!!), I like to use the L’Oreal Triple Resist line. I love the smell & just find it to leave my hair feeling amazing 🙂

If you would like more info on any of these products then let me know in the comments!

I’d love to know what your fave shampoo & conditioner is – always love trying new ones out – so please leave a comment below 🙂

Thank you for reading everyone. xo
