Pamper night ❤

Hi beauties 🌞

Third time lucky. Every time I’ve written this post & gone to schedule it, it has somehow managed to delete itself -.- so here we go, third time lucky in getting this post up. 🙂

I was having a pamper night the other night & thought ‘why not show my beauties’. So here it is…

image

First of all I like to take every scrap of makeup off. I begin by taking most of it off with a makeup wipe, then cleansing my face with my Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish. This makes your face feel so fresh & nourished, cannot beat it! 🙂

As another treat for my skin I used Lush’s Dark Angels black sugar and charcoal cleanser. This just revitalises the face, yes it’s messy but beneficial!!

image

Depending on how I’m feeling I’ll either have a bath or shower. This time I opted for a shower, to cleanse my hair I used Aussies Mega Shampoo,  LOVE this shampoo, its so nourishing you don’t even need a conditioner after!
To make myself smell luscious & clean I used Soap & Glory Sugar Crush, seriously, if you haven’t smelt this, you need to!!!!

image

However, if I was to need a conditioner I’ve been loving this Lush H’Suan Wen Hua hair treatment. It can be used on wet or dry hair & leaves it feeling silky soft. It has a strong smell, but it’s so good I don’t mind!!

image

I like to keep myself shaven but hate the rash that can come with it. Have no fear my lovelies, this little beauty stops shaving rash & moisturises the skin as you shave. I’ll never use crappy disposables again! 🙂

image

After my shower/bath I like to moisturise my skin. This time I went for my St Tropez Gradual Tan as I wanted a bit of a healthy glow too 🙂
My other go to normal moisturiser is the body shop body butter in the strawberry scent. Can’t beat it!

image

Lastly, this wouldn’t be a pamper routine without a bit of oil. I use this Avon Advanced Techniques Moroccan Argan Oil through the ends of my hair to prevent split ends & keep my hair healthy looking!

So there it is, my pamper night!
What’s your fave way to pamper yourself? ❤

Lots of Love Natasha

Makeup of the day

Summer skin & hair…

Hi beauties 🌞

Yesterday I fancied doing a simple makeup look & hairstyle, so that’s just what I did! Here is how I achieved it…

image

Hair
For my hair I just brushed it through & plaited my fringe. My hair was slightly oily as it was second (or maybe third) day hair, but I find this style looks better a bit more ‘grungy’ 🙂 if you want a bit more oomf and body to your hair just spritz a bit of dry shampoo into the roots!!!

Face
For my face I obviously started off with my Simple Moisturiser, after letting that sink into the skin I applied my Benefit Porefessional to my t-zone. As I wanted a light coverage I chose to use my Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation & built up the coverage in areas in need. I absolutely love this foundation for summer it’s so glowy & radiant looking 🙂

To add dimension to my face I applied my Benefit Hoola Bronzer into the hollows of my cheeks, temples & jaw line! This also gives the look a summery sunkissed look :). Just to make sure I was a glowing goddess this day I used my MUA Mosaic blush, this is so beautiful for the pittance it cost!!!

Eyes
For my eyes I did a simple winged liner using my Makeup Revolution double ended liner (review coming shortly!). I then finished off the eyes by applying my mascara of the moment Kiko Active+ Volumising Mascara!!

Brows
As always I used my Benefit Gimme Brow, just look at the results! No words needed. 🙂

Lips
For lips I just applied a tinted lip balm, B. Cosmetics Lip Balm in the shade Caramel 👍

What do you guys think of glowy/dewy skin? Yay or nay?

First Impression Friday: St. Tropez Gradual Tan ❤

Hi beauties 🌞

So spring is upon us & its that time of year again when we want to start looking a bit healthier (or at least less vampy!!!).
To begin this transition into spring/summer skin I decided to take the plunge & buy the St Tropez Gradual Tan! I’ve heard such good things about this brand & product, but never took the plunge.

image

St Tropez Gradual Tan
– light/medium skin formula
– 100% natural tanning agent
– natural streak-free colour
– easy to use

Before I applied this product I had a shower, I didn’t exfoliate my body, I just washed as usual. I like to apply my tan on a night before I go to bed, so it can develop over night & I wake up a bronze goddess 🙂

This gradual tan comes in two shades light/medium & medium/dark! Being very pale I chose the lightest one! To apply this product it is very simple as the product is a cream formula which comes out white. As this is a gradual tan, it acts as a moisturiser & tan in one, which always wins me over!

image

While applying this gradual tan I noticed it had quite a fragrant, floral scent, which to me was very pleasant as with most gradual tans you get that ‘fake tan’ odour!!!! (Ew!) I was very pleased with this as throughout the development of the tan it only had a slight fake tan smell, which is a winner & one of the main reasons I wanted to try it in the first place! 🙂

When I woke up the tan was quite noticeable, I am very fair & not used to any sort of tan. Anyway, I went into the bathroom to have a peak at my new tan, to my surprise it looked very natural & healthy. I was astounded by the beautiful, streak-free finish & guess what? No funky smell either. Yipeeee!!! Plus, it moisturises my skin PERFECTLY. It sinks into the skin quite quick, leaving your body feeling nourished all day!👍

ST Tropez has really got it down good with their Gradual Tan, I knew there was a reason why everyone loved this brand so much! :)❤

Have you tried this product or any other from this brand? If so, what did you think?

Lots of Love Natasha

6. Garnier Summerbody: Project 10 Pan!♥

Hi beauties. ☼

The sun is out & we all want that beautiful sun-kissed look, but living in the UK means it can’t always be achieved naturally! So the search is on for that perfect fake tanner! Well beauties, you’ll be happy to know. I think I may have found it…

What is this miracle product I hear you asking?

It’s the Garnier Body Summerbody Moisturising Lotion.

What Garnier claim:

A moisturising lotion for a sun-kissed look, with natural extract of Apricot. Effective 12 hour moisturisation which gradually builds a tan.

Do I agree with these claims? Yes, I do! This gradual tanner definitely gives great moisturisation to the skin, when I use this (usually on a night) I find my skin is left feeling super soft & hydrated all day long! Unlike other gradual tanners this doesn’t smell too bad, the scent does actually resemble apricot. However, this kind of goes once the product is applied onto the skin & starts to develop! The longer the product is left on the skin the more it develops that fake tan/apricot-y smell, to me this isn’t a bad smell. I don’t think we can ever get away from that fake tan smell so at least this isn’t too strong (it smells better than other tanners I’ve used!!)

wpid-20140527_215059.jpg

How does it work?

This is a gradual tanner so it is obviously meant to be built up. If your skin is naturally fair, go for the light shade & if your skin is naturally darker then go for the deep! Each shades are developed specifically with fair/dark skin tones in mind, the lotion contains a hint of tanner which gradually builds up a natural, even looking tan!

Do I need to prep my skin?

No, prepping your skin is not essential. This is not a ‘fake tan’ so you don’t need to exfoliate & moisturise to get an even looking tan! The fact that this is a moisturiser with a hint of tanner means it won’t cling to dry patches as the moisturiser in the product will hydrate the areas that need it while leaving you with a sun-kissed glow. I usually make sure to apply this to clean skin (just after a shower/bath) on a night, why on a night? This takes a good few hours to develop so it seems like the most sensible idea. When you wake up you’ll look like a goddess!!

Have you tried this product? What did you think of it?– let me know your thoughts in the comments below 😀

Evening Skincare Routine!♥

Hi beauties. ☼

Since I’ve already done a post about my morning skincare routine (click here), I thought it was about time I did my evening skincare routine, it is also a kind of ‘how I remove my makeup’ post as well since I do wear makeup most days 🙂

To start my evening cleansing routine I first remove my makeup, I start off by taking my eye makeup off, to do this I use baby oil. Yes, that’s right, I said baby oil, I discovered this tip from Sinead Cady (The Makeup Chair on YouTube). It seriously removes every trace of eye makeup whilst conditioning the lashes (I can see a difference, when I use baby oil my lashes grow to be thicker & fuller). However, you do have to make sure you don’t get too much of it on your face as it will clog your pores! (your eye area is different to the rest of your face, it isn’t made up of pores as such, which we have on the rest of the face!) 🙂

wpid-20140513_181226.jpg
Johnson’s baby oil!

Anyway, I take a bit of baby oil onto a cotton pad & press it lightly on my eye for a few seconds! When you wipe the cotton pad away the majority of your eye makeup will be gone 🙂 To remove the rest of my face makeup I then take a makeup wipe (well I use baby wipes, just because they are cheaper & to me they all do the same job!!) & lightly buff it over the skin to remove the rest of my makeup.

*side note* I wouldn’t advise using ONLY a makeup wipe to take your makeup off as it doesn’t get deep into the skin like a cleanser, meaning your more likely to become prone to breakouts due to dirty skin/clogged pores!

wpid-20140513_181259.jpg
Simple baby wipes!

Once most of my makeup is taken off I then go in with my cleanser, Liz Earle’s Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, I take a pea-sized amount between my fingers & massage it into my face for a minute or so, I then take a muslin cloth & buff the cleanser off, taking with it the residue of my makeup & any other dirt left on the skin 🙂 SERIOUSLY. If you are having skin problems this cleanser is the BEST. I know it is quite pricey but for skincare I don’t think I could ever compromise; this cleanser has saved my skin, I hardly have breakouts now & it is definitely due to this product as I did have a month or so where I’d run out of it & my skin went crazy!

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish!

Lastly, to finish off my evening skincare routine I use both Simple’s toner & thick moisturiser. I put a bit of toner on a cotton pad & wipe it all over the face & neck (never forget the neck with all skincare!), after the wetness has gone from my face I then apply my moisturiser all over my face & neck to re-hydrate my skin (although the Liz Earle cleanser DOESN’T leave the skin feeling dry, I know it’s best to moisturise as well, even for someone like me with oily skin!!).

Simple moisturiser & toner!

My top 5 skincare tips:

1. Be sure to remove all traces of makeup on a night.

2. Find a cleanser that is right for you & stick with it.

3. Never forget to take the skincare down your neck. We apply makeup there so it only seems right! Also, the neck gives off the biggest signs of aging!

4. ALWAYS moisturise, even if you have oily skin. Your skin will be worse for it if you don’t, as it will over produce oils to compensate.

5. When using oils to take eye makeup off be sure it is fully removed & don’t get too much on your face.

I hope you have enjoyed this post or at least found it helpful. If you have any questions about any of the products, then please leave a comment below 🙂
