Makeup Revolution: Redemption Palette Iconic 3 Review & Swatches!!❤

Hi beauties 🌞

While I’ve been away I’ve purchased a few new makeup products. This Makeup Revolution London Palette is one of those things, no doubt other purchases will be reviewed in future posts!:)

I tried this palette out for the first time a week or so ago, but to give you guys a full, in – depth review I wanted to trial it a bit longer! So here are my thoughts…

image

Makeup Revolution London Redemption Palette Iconic 3
THE ultimate
palettes with ultra high payoff.

A perfect mix of pearl, shimmer and matte shades. Totally collectable and a pure sellout.

The iconic 3 palette retails for an amazing £4! Makeup Revolution is like MUA, which if your from the UK you’ll know is sold in most Superdrug stores. It is a very cheap brand, but for the prices the products are fantastic!! These eyeshadows are fabulously pigmented & are almost buttery to touch. 🙂

image

Texture
Some of these shades can come off quite crumbly, this isn’t a problem to me as I usually use concealer on the lids as a primer. To me this ensures the eyeshadow stays put as it grabs onto the concealer to set it!
The shimmer shades are more buttery, despite this they are all VERY pigmented & stay put all day!! Especially for their £4 price tag, what more could we ask for?!:)❤

Dupe?
It has been said by many YouTubers & beauty bloggers that this is a dupe for Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette. Personally I don’t own the Urban Decay Palette but have seen swatches! The colours look very very similar, but the Urban Decay Palette retails for a steeper £37.

These shadows are not individually named, but Hey Ho! At least you get an idea of what these shadows look like once applied to the skin.
All I did was rub my finger in each colour once & apply it to my arm,  as you can see the pigmentation is astounding. I am very pleased with this palette & I can’t wait to do more looks with it! 🙂

Have you tried this palette or any other products from Makeup Revolution? If so,  what are your thoughts? ❤

Skincare

Holly Go Lightly ❤

Hi beauties 🌞

Yes, I am aware it isn’t Christmas, but my twin (beautifulbreakable) gave this Lush bubble bar to me a week or so ago for me to try.

image

What is it?
Apart from looking super cute, Holly Go Lightly is a beautiful, festively spiced, sparkly bubble bar. You break a small amount off & crumble it under a running tap to, yes you guessed it, create bubbles!!! The colour of the bubble bar will also tint your bath water, personally this is one of my favourite things about them!!

image

Why use it?
This bubble bar (and others I’ve tried) smell absolutely divine. They leave my skin feeling nourished & silky soft! Which is obviously a bonus, especially if your like me, who seems to have super sensitive legs (which seem to be irritated by most things:?). Also, the scent of them linger on your skin, who doesn’t want to smell like Christmas? 🙂

I also love bubble bars as they last ages, you only need a small amount of the bar to create millions of bubbles. So you can happily have a few baths out of each bar! 👌

Have you tried any of Lushs bubble bars?
If so, which ones? 🙂

Makeup of the day

MOTD: simple & easy!♥

Hi beauties. ☼

The other day I wore this makeup look. I really liked how it turned out so I thought I’d share it with you all 🙂

image

I decided to go for a simple eye with a thin-ish winged liner, shimmery shadow (champagne & purply-brown colours) & big lashes, of course!! I also used white liner on my waterline to brighten up my eyes 🙂

image

For the face I went for a flawless, but not overly made over, face! I then bronzed up my face to bring myself back to life! 🙂

image

I kept my lips a nudey pink, I’ve been loving a simple eye & lip recently 🙂

image

What makeup look have you been wearing a lot recently?

Thanks for reading beauties, have a fabulous day xo

Makeup of the day

MOTD: Work Edition!♥

Hi beauties. ☼

This morning I was getting ready for work, I work as a waitress, & it occurred to me that I’ve never shared my work makeup! So that is what I’ve got for you today… wpid-20140615_082752.jpg

I only keep it simple, a ‘no makeup’ makeup look if you will, as I’m rushing around all day & aren’t allowed to wear much makeup anyway. So here is how I achieve this look…

wpid-20140615_082632-e1402851310968

1. To create this ‘no makeup’ makeup look I firstly started off will a freshly cleansed & moisturised face. After waiting for my skincare to sink into my skin I applied my Rimmel Matte BB Cream with my Real Techniques buffing brush. This BB Cream looks better the more you blend & buff it into your skin.

2. I then concealed my dark circles, blemishes & redness with the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer – this baby is a must have!!

3. To set my face in place I used my trusty Rimmel Stay Matte Powder with my Real Techniques Kabuki Brush! I know my makeup isn’t going to budge when I use this.

4. After creating an even base I like to warm my face up using Benefits Hoola, I put it into the hollows of my cheeks, temples & under my chin & blend it out well. It just gives your face a bit more life!

5. I then applied my Maybelline Baby Lips to give them moisture & a tint of colour.

6/7. I apply my Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl in Black before coating my lashes with Rimmel’s Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara!

8. Since this is a natural look I don’t do anything to my brows apart from setting them with my clear – not so clear anymore – mascara. We can’t have wild brows!

So that’s it beauties! Thank you for reading ❤ If you’d like a review on any of these products please leave me a comment below 🙂

15 Days of Beauty Challenge

Day 12: Go To Daily Eyeshadows!♥

Hi beauties. ☼

Todays beauty challenge is ‘Go To Daily Eyeshadows’, so I’ve chosen the MUA Heaven & Earth Palette as this is probably my most used palette, for a single eyeshadow I’d probably go with my MAC eyeshadow in Naked Lunch. The palette has such beautiful, pigmented colours which are PERFECT for everyday wear. It is especially good since it is ONLY £4! What more could we want? 🙂

Have you tried any MUA products? If so, what’s your favourite? 🙂

**Question of the day – What’s your fave eyeshadow palette?**

15 Days of Beauty Challenge

Day 8: Your Current Nail Look!♥

Hi beauties. ☼

It’s day 8 of the 15 days of beauty challenge, today is ‘your current nail look’, so here are my nails, as they are now; I haven’t done anything to them for the picture (thats the whole point!!)…wpid-20140508_094250.jpgYes, my nails are not exciting at all. But I’m unable to wear nail varnish on a regular basis due to my job, I’m only a waitress but I’m dealing with food on a daily basis so we cannot wear anything on the nails!! :/ BUT. I will be painting my nails for the weekend (weekend off, YAY!) so I’ll post my nails for you all to see them, although I’m not the best at nails!! xo

Thank you for reading day 8 of the 15 days of beauty challenge. I’d love to know what colours you have on your nails or what nail polish you’re loving right now, just comment below or contact me on any of my social media websites 🙂
