Review: Urban Decay Naked Skin ♥

Hi beauties ☼

After discovering this heavenly concealer from Wayne Goss on YouTube I haven’t been able to live without it. What is this divine product I hear you ask? It’s the one & only, Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer!

What do Urban Decay claim:

Ultra lightweight, this high-tech formula melds like a second skin effect and gives you full coverage in an instant.

I definitely agree, this is very lightweight you don’t even notice you’re wearing anything, almost like a second skin! I would say it’s medium coverage, my skin isn’t too problematic, although I wouldn’t use this on blemishes as it is a highlighting concealer.

Shade range

Urban Decay only have 5 different shades for this concealer, so unfortunately it may not suit the deepest darkest skin tone (if I’m wrong please correct me!). However, I’m probably as fair as they come & this shade, fair neutral, is perfect for me!

Applicator

UntitledThis applicator is like a doefoot applicator but it’s flat. There’s something about this that I love, it distributes the product evenly under the eye (where I mainly use this concealer!). I love this as it means less product waste.

Skin benefits

Urban Decay claim that:

Japanese green tea revitalizes and helps reduce the appearance by reducing the appearance of fine lines and giving a brighter, more radiant complexion.

Whether this is true or not I don’t know. But it does feel divine & sort of cooling on the skin, so maybe. But since I have young skin anyway it’s hard to put that to the test!!

Have you tried this concealer? What did you think of it? 🙂

Lots of Love Natasha

Makeup Revolution: Redemption Palette Iconic 3 Review & Swatches!!❤

Hi beauties 🌞

While I’ve been away I’ve purchased a few new makeup products. This Makeup Revolution London Palette is one of those things, no doubt other purchases will be reviewed in future posts!:)

I tried this palette out for the first time a week or so ago, but to give you guys a full, in – depth review I wanted to trial it a bit longer! So here are my thoughts…

image

Makeup Revolution London Redemption Palette Iconic 3
THE ultimate
palettes with ultra high payoff.

A perfect mix of pearl, shimmer and matte shades. Totally collectable and a pure sellout.

The iconic 3 palette retails for an amazing £4! Makeup Revolution is like MUA, which if your from the UK you’ll know is sold in most Superdrug stores. It is a very cheap brand, but for the prices the products are fantastic!! These eyeshadows are fabulously pigmented & are almost buttery to touch. 🙂

image

Texture
Some of these shades can come off quite crumbly, this isn’t a problem to me as I usually use concealer on the lids as a primer. To me this ensures the eyeshadow stays put as it grabs onto the concealer to set it!
The shimmer shades are more buttery, despite this they are all VERY pigmented & stay put all day!! Especially for their £4 price tag, what more could we ask for?!:)❤

Dupe?
It has been said by many YouTubers & beauty bloggers that this is a dupe for Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette. Personally I don’t own the Urban Decay Palette but have seen swatches! The colours look very very similar, but the Urban Decay Palette retails for a steeper £37.

Swatches

These shadows are not individually named, but Hey Ho! At least you get an idea of what these shadows look like once applied to the skin.
All I did was rub my finger in each colour once & apply it to my arm,  as you can see the pigmentation is astounding. I am very pleased with this palette & I can’t wait to do more looks with it! 🙂

Have you tried this palette or any other products from Makeup Revolution? If so,  what are your thoughts? ❤

Project 10 Pan

2. Urban Decay De-Slick: Project 10 Pan!♥

Hi beauties.

So the other morning I realised I’d used up my Urban Decay De-slick Oil-Control Makeup Setting Spray so as promised here’s my review on it!

What Urban Decay claim the product will do for you;

De-Slick mists on weightlessly to control oil, deflect surface shine and keep skin looking beautifully matte. High-tech ingredients help keep foundation, shadow and blush from smudging, sliding or fading – so you hardly ever need to touch up.

ud deslick

Do I agree with Urban Decay’s claims? Yes, I would say I do. This setting spray is most definitely weightless, deflects shine and keeps skin matte. Once sprayed onto the skin it feels a bit weird as your face is obviously wet, but wait a few minutes and it’ll have sunk into your skin leaving you with a matte finish! After I’ve applied this over the top of my makeup it seems to make the makeup look more natural as it prevents you from looking cake-y.

Also, if you were to apply this product as a base to your makeup (which I sometimes do) you will be left with mattified skin, which for us with oily skin can only be a positive. This makes for a PERFECT base for face makeup!!

So, by now you’re probably wondering if this setting spray does actually prolong the wear makeup? My answer to this would be YES. For me, when I use this spray (as claimed) I don’t need to touch up throughout the day. If I were to apply my makeup in the morning, go out and about during the day & return home my makeup will be as if I’d just applied it. However, if I’m going out on the night I’d probably feel the need to at least powder my t-zone, but not re-do my makeup altogether! So the claim “you hardly ever need to touch up” is true in my opinion as for me I only really need to powder once (maybe twice at the most if the weather’s warmer).

I hope this post has been helpful, if you have any more questions feel free to ask them in the comments below 🙂
